Inouye: Panel's Letter 'Speaks For Itself'

article By Paul Kane (http://www.rollcall.com/pages/news/00/2002/08/news0801a.html)

The Senate Ethics Committee is declining to release any files or transcripts from its investigation of Sen. Robert Torricelli (D-N.J.) beyond the three-page letter that "severely admonished" the Senator for a nearly five-year relationship with imprisoned businessman David Chang.

In finding that Torricelli accepted several thousand dollars worth of gifts from Chang, the committee repeatedly said the Senator's behavior had "evidenced poor judgement, displayed a lack of due regard for Senate rules and resulted in a violation" of chamber rules.

Severly admonished??? In what way?? Lying scum!!

Hypocrits! They would demand every scrap of paper be produced by the White House or any company they were trying to hustle. They think they are above the law. . . . They just might be right. Gee, ya think any of them will leak those documents? Of course not. Senators only leak documents that might damage the country and its defense.

Please Lord, just one CEO with the 'nads to stand up in congress and figuratively spit in their faces. Just one who will ask "who are you to judge me?"
As they rob the entire nation with their money juggling schemes, the fraudulent SS lock box, the endless deficits...indeed, who are they to cast blame on anyone at all.

Don't ya just love the 'ruling class' that we have in CONgress!!!!!!! images/icons/mad.gif

They do have the security of knowing the voters, not all but many, will re-elect them no matter what they do. Just look at Teddy 'The Drunk'.
40 years
in the senate and the http://208.185.249.64/ubb/icons/icon8.gif just keep electing him time after time.
