Well, the bass-fishin' crowd would be in Cuber in a heartbeat! That means folks out in the boonies, where there is already a certain amount of "eco-tourism". That would mean more interaction between our folks and Cuban just-folks, overwhelming Castro's "handlers" of tourists. (Similar to the USSR's Intourist "guides" who guided folks away from reality and controlled conversation with Russian citizens.)

Toyota would open an assembly plant. US antique car buffs would be snapping up those old cars from Cuba, "Rat Now!", probably trading new Hyundais even-steven.

Add in the money from regular booze-swillers and beach bums, and I doubt Castro and Communism would last very long...

WASHINGTON -- In a vivid sign of waning support for the economic embargo on Cuba, House Majority Leader Dick Armey (R-Texas) said he believes that the United States should open trade with the Communist regime and that he has backed the restrictions on travel and trade only out of loyalty to two Cuban American members of the House.
