Weird Punctuation changes since changeover to new server

Since the changeover to the new server I am seeing weird punctuation changes where " and ' and - from posts made prior to the changeover show up as question marks. Wha' hoppened? I have already corrected the punctuation in the posts where I have noticed those weird changes.

Not only that but a Huge amount of my posts just up and dissapeared.

Posted at around 5 to 6am this morning and they arent even there.

I've noted that small squares have replaced punctuation in the decimal 128-159 range (hex 80-9F). That range is not a part of any HTML standard, and it is not implemented in ISO 8859-1 Latin 1 and Unicode, the HTML character sets.

Possibly a setting was changed during the transfer.

I have not been able to post any characters in that range since I switched to Opera 7.23, although Opera 6.xx posts them properly.

I have noticed the small squares on some posts also. I don't think I have had any of the problems at my end though. During the change over to the new server that night, I was able to read some posts. Then all of the sudden I could not.

I haven't noticed any more speed, but then I am on dial up, not DSL.
