Senate Vows Destruction of Western Civilization (http://www.mensnewsdaily.com/stories/mcelroy081302.htm)

After more than two decades of the U.S. Senate refusing to ratify the United Nation’s Convention on the Elimination of All forms of Discrimination Against Women, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee approved the treaty July 30, sending CEDAW once more to a full Senate vote.

What is CEDAW? The treaty requires all signatory nations to condemn sexism and to establish legal mechanisms, such as legislation, to protect women against discrimination.

Ratification of CEDAW could be disastrous for the United States. CEDAW would give an intrusive, corrupt, non-elected foreign body -- the UN -- the power to sculpt American laws and institutions into the image of gender feminism.

Don't know when, don't know over what issue in particular, but one of these days America's gonna get mighty mad. The forking idiot Left had better watch it.

You mean, like the rise and fall of the USSR?

You caught me. (That's exactly what I meant.) Here's the next question. Has it gone too far already? Hint: My latest article at MND uses the phrase "Soviet Socialist States of America."

That treaty is a disaster.

It would never have been passed by these governments if they had to actually enforce the laws. But as most of them are corrupt as hell, they only respect these laws with lip service.

But the USA would have to enforce the laws as the treaty would supercede everything except the Cosntitution, IIRC.

And the Senators probably never even read the damned treaty.

Along with passing these laws comes the power to enforce arbitrary stuff that isn't possible under the constitution. That means more opportunity for extortion and more money in the political bribery pot.
