Don't know if this is news to some of you, but....

I just got back from my computer guy--he had forgotten to set up my DVD when I took it in to him--but he told me that Netscape now owns AOL and McAffee. Netscape now offers internet service which I understand is the same dial-up number of AOL.

I guess that means that you could experience some conflict with programs you've installed individually but now are part of this package deal.

Anyone have more info on this or possible problems?

AOL acquired Netscape in 1998.

And that will probably be its death knell unless AOL makes it the default browser for its customers.
