Ronald Reagan created big government Republicanism:
Trillion lost in misguided weapons purchases.
All government spending went up, dramatically under Reagan.
Spending rose so fast the Fed had to raise interest rates to dampen inflation.
Could barely read.
Lousy actor.
Stricken with alzheimers in his last years that Nancy had to translate for him.
Ran up a 2 trillion dollar debt.
Largest deficits in history, from a man who ran on a balanced budget platform.
Worst recession since the depression in 1982.
Approval rate, 35% in 1983.
10% unemployment rate in 1982.
Sold arms to terrorists, against his own policy, and sold them more arms when they got more American hostages.
Condemned Israeli attack on the Iraqi nuke plant.
Trained Al Qaeda, supported Islamics.
Capitalism flourishes in Russia while we live with big government Republican socialism.
Badly managed the Lebanon adventure.
Required Israel release 2,000 terrorists during airline highjacking.
Started dialogue with terrorist mastermind Yesir Arafat.
But:
He cut taxes.
Supported NAFTA
Made friends with Gorbachev.
Signed the first major arms control agreement with Soviets.
Rating: C, the same GPA he got in college, and the same rating he gets for bad acting.

Oh boy...this is gonna be great. Hell, I don't know half of what FM does about the Reagan presidency and I could trash you. But, since this is mano-a-mano, I defer to him.
Hey, Warlady...get your popcorn kettle warmed up!!

Reagan, a big government FDR Democrat to the end!
He refused to trim social security or medicare. He returned tax rates back to where they were when FDR created the modern system.
He wasted billion on defense, fighting the same war FDR was fighting.
He really admired and modeled himself after FDR.

I think Tip Oneil and the Dems running the house and senate had more to do with spending! images/icons/rolleyes.gif (The cuts Reagan wanted were rejected at every turn!!!!) graemlins/icon24.gif
Instead of comparing Reagan to FDR, how about LBJ or Carter(cause you leftists know they sucked the big one!) graemlins/icon109.gif

I'll just answer my favorite:
"Stricken with alzheimers in his last years that Nancy had to translate for him."
You know Mattie...I guess big spending and his foreign policy gave him Altzheimer's disease.
Shut the f*ck up again.

I do not agree with conservatives and their demand for monstrous federal spending, that is for sure. Big government Reagan Republicanism is no friend of mine.

You also were part of a scheme to commit criminal acts against the government in padding costs. YOU are part of the reason there IS so much government waste.
You're a thief, a moron, and a dirtbag, as well as a dipshit.

Hey, FakeLobo,
If you find me agreeing with any more federal or state spending from anywhere, then you can accuse me.
When Republicans have the White House, federal spending explodes. Yet the WHite House holds the veto, has the pulpit, and has the budget proposals; the result is always the same, big government Republicanism driving the nation to extinction. Somehow it is never their fault, perhaps we just keep electing stupid Republican presidents?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Hey Dipshit, YOU admitted when you worked for a major govt contractor, you witnessed/were responsible for it.
Hence, you agree with it, hence, you are responsible for it, hence you are a thief, hence, you are a dipshit that blames the victim of a crime for the acts of the criminal.
