House Democrats, lead by Minority Leader Richard A. Gephardt, yesterday introduced a bill to grant legal status to <h3>undocumented aliens</h3> who have lived and worked in the United States for some time.
Mr. Gephardt's plan, known as the "Earned Legalization and Family Reunification" legislation, would allow immigrants to apply for a green card — which grants legal residence — if they have resided in this country for at least five years, have a work history of at least two years and are able to pass a background check.
The plan would also expand the number of visas available to family members of current legal residents by removing spouses, children and parents from existing caps. <font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Typical of the left, they refuse to call a spade a spade. 'Undocumented aliens' is a coverup for what they really are, ILLEGAL, lawbreakers, criminals,.... That they are here working is meaningless, they are still breaking the law. If you disagree with the law, change it for everyone!! The excuse that they fill jobs that Americans won't fill is all smoke and mirrors. The facts are that Americans won't fill them becuase they can make more off welfare. Cut that off and see how many are willing to fill those 'unwanted' jobs. graemlins/icon124.gif

The illegal alien who raped two nuns and killed one of them in Klamath Falls, Oregon had already spent 3 years in a California prison. After illegal alien did time in prison he was then deported back to Mexico. He came back across the border at an official border crossing. The report is that information on him wasn't checked out and border guards allowed him cross back into the US to rape and kill.

If these illegal aliens suddenly become legal residents or citizens then they'll also be eligible for public assistance. The welfare rolls wil increase dramatically because they will definitely sign up when word gets out they can qualify. And guess who'll be footing the bill for all that cash and benefits?

As near as I can determine they are able to draw welfare whether they are legal or not. The children seem to be eligible for all things including health care. But hospitals seem to handle the illegals. I don't know how it works but a couple of states were trying to cut them off and were receiving much gaff for it from hispanics.

For too many years we did little or nothing about illegals crawling in like locusts. They became so numerous that they now have the potential of being a fruitful special-interest voting block. Hence, the war is on to see which side of the aisle can win them over, since the right can't seem to find the cojones to throw them out.

There's only one person in CONgress that has the cajones to call a spade a spade - Tom Tancredo. He's been labeled everything from a racist to a demon by both sides. Yup our Gov Owens and the Sen from the left Ben Campbell are bending over backwards to kiss the illegals butts.

I am for mining 300 yards(not freakin meters) deep on every border that we have. It could be paid for with welfare money and would almost eliminate out illeagle alien problem. Any that do make it through, pop a cap in their criminal ass.
