One-way street
Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, South Dakota Democrat, says he believes Sen. Lincoln Chafee, the liberal Rhode Island Republican, could become a Democrat. But he does not foresee Sen. Zell Miller, the Georgia Democrat who often votes with Republicans, switching parties.
"A year from now, could Lincoln Chafee be a Democrat?" Tony Snow, host of "Fox News Sunday," asked Mr. Daschle.
"Possible," the Senate's top Democrat replied.
"A year from now, could Zell Miller be a Republican?" Mr. Snow asked.
"Impossible," Mr. Daschle said. He did not elaborate.

It seems that Daschle is working behind the scenes to keep his majority position.

Let the RINO go.. Look at his voting record - no big loss. When we pick up Minn, SD, and Missouri it won't matter anyway. I'm not totally convinced that NJ will go Dem either. Like Sean Hannity says "15 days till Republicans take over the world!!"

tacitus - Just by talking to demonrat friends of mine who are disgusted with the way the party has gone federally not locally - I don't think the polls reflect the entire picture. Have faith..

I don't want any more "iffy" RINOs in the party. Let them go with a swift kick in the ass for good measure.

graemlins/icon115.gif Eight days ago, Tim Russert-Potato showed the latest poll results on Meet the Press, then announced that if those totals held up, the demonicrats would control the Senate. I noticed that two of the races had the demonicrats leading by .1% or .2%. If either of those races swung to the Republican, we'd win.
