Here is my long gun. The Bushmaster Bullpup recommended by Muleracer. I love it. It looks a lot better with the scope on it and a banana mag. I also added a cammo shoulder strap.
http://freeconservatives.com/pics/members/sonarman/bush_bullpup.gif

Specifications

The Bushmaster M17S Bullpup is a gas operated semi-automatic rifle, which fires from a locked bolt. The Bullpup design makes it a short, handy rifle with high accuracy and reliability. The M17S design incorporates several "space age" features including: a gas system which is self-regulating, self-cleaning and corrosion resistant; a tensioned barrel system which provides a high degree of accuracy under sustained firing; and a lower receiver made of a reinforced composite material to reduce weight. These features combined with others inherent in the design ensure that the M17S will be state of the art well into the 21st century.

Caliber - 5.56 mm (.223 Rem.)
Overall length - 30 inches (76 cm)
Barrel length - 21.5 inches (54.6 cm)
Weight (w/o mag) - 8.2 Ibs. (3.72 kg)
Barrel Specs. - Chrome Moly Vanadium Steel with chrome plated chamber and bore. Rifling: 6 grooves / R.H. twist / 1 turn in 9 inches

Magazine Capacity - Accepts all M16/AR15 magazines except drum type
Ammunition - All M193, M855, Tracer, Blank, 5.56 mm NATO Standard or SAAMI Spec. .223 Rem. ammunition can be utilized in the M17S

I'm being my annoying self.

If it doesn't have the wave, its just a knife. Claws are nice. Waved folders better. Must have wave. If you do not, its just a knife. Get wave and go to Heavan, if not, their are alternatives...

Wave good. No wave = bad.

wave = fast sure draw + 1.5 seconds from in pocket to in bad guy. not a 1.5 from pocket to ready, i mean 1.5 from initial contact to "eeeewwwwww. i have human innards all over me."

wave = cool
no wave = un cool

wave = quality
no wave = who knows

wave = seal issue beer bottle opener
no wave = no beer

Ok, though.
on me now:
Socfk spearpoint - RH
Spyderco native serated - LH
socfk tanto righty in left pocket for reverse grip draw LH
4 inch polizen neck knife
V-gar in belt
3 inch kozuka on keys for when i have to hand them over
credit card blade for wallet
larger credit card blade in checkbook
paracord garrotte in jacket pocket for flicking across BG's eyes or disarms

2 knives on kitchen table, one Japanese style, one bud nealy.

no firearms in Mass, but working on a prospect for a permit here.
in CT, .357 colt trooper loaded with .38 hydrashock.

Having an aresnal is nice. Do you have it on you?
Lets all be friends.

Warlady if I had my preference I'd take the kerambit next to the dig http://freeconservatives.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
I'm a knife nut.

I have all my knives on my cd that I found my glock on.

Bowies, tanto's an old ka-bar, an air force survival knife (old one) and so forth.

Got a load here in my room and I never have enough you know

Int he state of washington its illegal to carry butterfly knives but its ok to purchase them in oregon, I have a CCW permit so maybe someday I'll get myself a nice automatic knife for conceal carry.

I DO wanna get a good .45, been seriously thinking of the colt combat commander, since it has a wonderful steel construction.

When I started out I was VERY accurate with a ruger p-95 but at the time i didnt like the slide action which was very loose for my tastes, later I found out the loose slide action was a very good thing to have, so maybe someday I'll get a ruger p-95 as well.

I do dig the H&K USP pistols, since they have fine wonderful finger guards that are long enough to accomodate my long fingers.

(Hate wheelguns dernit, they pinch my hand when I used them)

I took it one step further, I live in a shall issue state, I didnt hafta go through a gun safety course, but i felt it was the right thing, and my handgun instructor helped me find the right kind of gun for me, he was the one that noticed I sight with my left eye instead of my right, and yet I am a right hander.

I wanna continue the instruction someday when I have enough money and time, as he teaches combat handgun training, be good to understand and know how to handle the gun from the holster in the right way someday.

I'm patient.

Consider yourself greatly blessed that you don't live in one of the "Gun Owners Are Evil Incarnate" states such as Massholechusetts. Gun shops have closed right and left. Buying a new handgun is all but impossible due to a previous Attorney's General's autocratic legislation-by-fiat attack on guns and their owners, a ball-less legislature, and a gun "control" law that is the closest thing to abolition of privately-owned handguns that one can achieve without doing it in so many words.

It's okay in this neo-commie state to educate the kids about the wonders of being "gay", but guns are taboo and screw the Second Amendment.

How bad it gets: a few years ago, twenty or so miles north of me, a woman was driving home at night along a winding mountain road when an 18-wheeler came up behind her and proceeded to ride inches from her bumper no matter fast or slow she drove. His actions were utterly illegal by any state's laws.

She was carrying a handgun in the front seat, and made it evident to the driver that she was armed. The result: she was arrested for firearms violations and the asshole in the truck walked away without a slap on the wrist.

Welcome to the People's Republik of MA. This sorry state will only be improved by a neutron bomb over Beacon Hill.

Rink
07-04-2003, 08:13 AM
Gads!!!
I am grateful for living in a 'shall issue' state.

Its just too bad massachussetts cant figgure it out that having a well-armed and well-informed populace that KNOWS how to handle firearms safely is the best thing in keeping violent crime down.

I'm grateful all I hafta do is go thru a fingerprint check and a background check on any criminal or mental past and then I can have my concealed carry permit.

In this liberalized state with Californians comin up here and bringing their brand of politics with them.

Thanks for makin me feel very lucky to live where I am Doc

And...

Oh yeah...... Wouldn't trade mine for anything. HK USP in 40S&W w/ 2 high cap mags loaded w/ Triton Quik Shoks. Used to carry a Benchmade Emerson but didn't like it. I'm quite happy w/ my Spyderco AFC w/ a Smith and Wesson tanto neck knife for back-up.

Besides a gun and knife, two other items people should also carry is mace (or pepper spray) and a cell phone. Add in a good stout walking stick when you're traveling on foot and you're fully accessorized.

Warlady,

If you do buy a forty five, my reccomnedation is a Springfield Armory 1911. A well made firearm from a tried and true company. I envy you your Bushmaster bullpup. I've got a heavy barrel Bushie w/ a Trijicon ACOG sight myself.

Forget the damn dog. Beware of the cranky old man w/ the gun.

At the moment I only have my Taurus 38 that I've had forever and a single barrel 12 gauge shotgun. Since I have had the 38 for years I can shoot pretty good with it. Need to practice more but working too much. I think my little sister is finally getting into shooting so I might have to buy me a new pistola and give her my 38. I'm getting a 45. I have it narrowed down to 2 guns. Either a Ruger P97 or a Taurus 455. I will probably go with the Taurus because I like wheelguns better. There a little more idiot proof and sometimes I can be an idiot. http://freeconservatives.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif After that I'm gonna save up and get me a semi-auto M1 Thompson. http://freeconservatives.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/patriot.gif

I personally cant stand wheelguns, when my handgun instructor tested me out with some guns all his wheelguns pinched my hand.

So I dont like em heh

I was more accurate with a Ruger p-95, but i didnt like the looseness of the slide.
My second choice was the glock 19.

I wanna get myself a nice .45
Been thinking of either an H&K USP or a 1911 70 model

Have had my S&W .40cal for about a year and a half. Got it used with 4 pre-ban 15 round clips....LOVE that baby!! If I stay as busy through the rest of the summer as I am now, a 9mm (for me) or a .32 - maybe a .380 (thinkin' 'bout a Walther for Lori...if she wants it) - or both are on the list as purchases before (or for) Christmas!!!

Caitlin is 3½, so it'll be a few more years before she gets her first .22cal.
