Put The Speakers In A Cage (http://www.anncoulter.org/)

Here at the Spawn of Satan convention in Boston, conservatives are deploying a series of covert signals to identify one another, much like gay men do. My allies are the ones wearing crosses or American flags. The people sporting shirts emblazened with the "F-word" are my opponents. Also, as always, the pretty girls and cops are on my side, most of them barely able to conceal their eye-rolling.

Democrats are constantly suing and slandering police as violent, fascist racists -- with the exception of Boston's police, who'll be lauded as national heroes right up until the Democrats pack up and leave town on Friday, whereupon they'll revert to their natural state of being fascist, racist pigs.

A speaker at the Democratic National Convention this year, Al Sharpton, accused white police officers of raping and defacing Tawana Brawley in 1987, lunatic charges that eventually led to a defamation lawsuit against Sharpton and even more eventually, to Sharpton paying a jury award to the defamed plaintiff Steve Pagones. So its a real mystery why cops wouldn't like Democrats.

As for the pretty girls, I can only guess that its because liberal boys never try to make a move on you without the UN Security Council's approval. Plus, its no fun riding around in those dinky little hybrid cars. My pretty-girl allies stick out like a sore thumb amongst the corn-fed, no make-up, natural fiber, no-bra needing, sandal-wearing, hirsute, somewhat fragrant hippie chick pie wagons they call "women" at the Democratic National Convention.

Apparently, the nuts at the Democratic National Convention are going to be put in cages outside the convention hall. Sadly, they won't be fighting to the death as is done in W.W.F. caged matches. They're calling this the "protestor's area," although I suppose a better name would be the "truth-free zone".

I thought this was a great idea until I realized the nut category did not include Sharpton, Al Gore, Bill Clinton, and Teddy Kennedy -- all featured speakers at the convention. I'd say the actual policy is only untelegenic nuts get the cages, but little Dennis Kucinich is speaking at the Convention, too. So it must be cages for nuts who have not run for president as serious candidates for the Democratic Party.

Link doesn't work... Apparently Ann's site is getting bombarded with people who actually DO want to hear what she has to say...

Likewise. Thanks for reminding me to look for it. I'll get it sooner or later.

It worked just fine for me, but a little slow. Drudge just posted the link to the column on World Net Daily (http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=39644).

She is a Hoot... I love the "The New York Times responded with an article criticizing "both" Republicans and Democrats for using Nazi imagery. Democrats call Republicans Nazis, the Republicans quote the Democrats calling Republicans Nazis and "both" are using Nazi imagery. (It's a cycle of violence!)" Line it's just so true.

To echo what I said on another site:

It's a stupid, ugly, meanspirited article and an embarrassment to conservatives. USA Today actually did Ann and us a big favor by spiking it.

Check out this old Jonah Goldberg article. (http://www.nationalreview.com/nr_comment/nr_comment100301.shtml)

What, ES, specifically is "stupid, ugly," or "meanspirited" in her column? How is it embarrassing when it simply shows the hypocrisy of the left?

Well, for the record, I say

<font size=5><center>ANNE, YOU GO, GIRL!!!</center></font size=5>

As long as there is a Michael Moore, an Al Franken, A Blabs Streisand, THERE WILL HAVE TO BE AN ANNE COULTER.

I am sick to death of liberals getting enjoying a real freedom of speech while conservatives sit on their butts and wring their hands and bleat "Oh, dear. The liberals call us mean-spirited" /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/Crying.gif

I was delighted when VP Cheney told that 'RAT Pharisee where to get off, and I love it every time Anne sounds off to the left.

And the terminally sensitive can kiss my ... attitude!

SO SUE ME! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon122.gif

You can bet that Michael Moore will get treated differently when he gets to do his piece at the GOP convention. You can bet it won't be labled as "unusable" and "not funny."

Welcome to the liberal double-standard at it's best...

And you're right Maggie, I personally believe we need folks like Ann Coulter who are smart, witty, and dare I say good looking, to stand up for what the real Americans believe, not what morons like Michael Moore spews...

Maggie_T

Oh, thank you, Notch.

I can't tell you how frustrating it is to me to hear all the whining and bleating FROM OUR OWN QUARTERS!

I am NOT asking everyone to bash the libs (event though the SO RICHLY deserve it), but for Pete's sake, don't stand in the way of those who have the guts to give the leftist scum a taste of their own medicine.

And believe me, I am not the only one. Listen to Sean Hannity's talk show. There are scores of conservative listeners who are constantly calling to say they want Republicans politicians to give out as good as they take.

All this rot makes me so angry, I'm just this close to popping a blood vessel. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon119.gif

I think the first few paragraphs are pretty nasty and do a lot to reinforce the charge that Ann is nothing more than a right-wing Michael Moore.

I gotta say right off the bat, I am not an(a) Ann Coulter fan. She annoys the crap out of me with her flaming rhetoric and shoot the bastards while they lie on the floor bleading attitude. That being said I thought this column was a hoot. Sarcastic, funny and totally tounge in cheek.

Right on, Notch &amp; Maggie! This "Can't we just be nice?" bullshit is gnawing on my last nerve.

Gawddamnit, this isn't a f**king high-school debating class. It's a political war for the soul of America. and the enemy's weapons are hatred, venom and lies.

When someone kicks a person in the balls, it is NOT appropriate to whine, "Gee golly, that wasn't very nice." The correct response is to attack the son of a bitch, shove a hand into his chest, and rip out his f**king heart.

Gentility is a loser's game in politics. The libeRATs are a ravaging pack of mad dogs, and the proper way to deal with that is to mow them down. God bless Ann and her take-no-prisoners approach. She has more balls than the lot of the snivellers who whine about how not-very-nice she is.

The liberals detest her with a passion. That means she's effective. As one of my correspondents wrote years ago, "You know they're paying attention when they take the time to attack you."

Here is an article with examples of what USA Today was questioning in her column:
LINK TO ARTICLE (http://www.humaneventsonline.com/article.php?id=4610)
From the article:

Here at the Spawn of Satan convention in Boston, conservatives are deploying a series of covert signals to identify one another, much like gay men do. My allies are the ones wearing crosses or American flags. The people sporting shirts emblazoned with the "F-word" are my opponents. Also, as always, the pretty girls and cops are on my side, most of them barely able to conceal their eye-rolling.

USA Today: EYE-ROLLING? AT WHAT?

Democrats are constantly suing and slandering police as violent, fascist racists -- with the exception of Boston's police, who'll be lauded as national heroes right up until the Democrats pack up and leave town on Friday, whereupon they'll revert to their natural state of being fascist, racist pigs.

USA Today: WHAT DEMOCRATS SUE THE POLICE? BUT THEY WON'T ACTUALLY REVERT TO BEING FASCIST PIGS, DON'T YOU MEAN THE DEMS WILL THINK THEY HAVE REVERTED TO BEING FASCIST PIGS?

A speaker at the Democratic National Convention this year, Al Sharpton, accused white police officers of raping and defacing Tawana Brawley in 1987, lunatic charges that eventually led to a defamation lawsuit against Sharpton and even more eventually, to Sharpton paying a jury award to the defamed plaintiff Steve Pagones. So it’s a real mystery why cops wouldn’t like Democrats.

USA Today: IS THAT LAST SENTENCE SARCASTIC? IF SO, YOU SURE LOST ME.

Etc., etc., etc.

Frankly I think it all boils down to their one repeated sentence: I Don't Get It.

I concur. There is nothing of substance in this article. Ann is capable of far more. The USA Today did her a favor by not running it. Too bad they did not do a favor by not running some of their other liberal columnists like that Julianne Mulveanux (sp) who requested that women feed their conservative husbands with greasy stuff so that they would die early.

It is an embarassment to me as a Conservative and as a Republican.

Ann is one of my heroines precise;ly because I'm a conservative Republican.

If you want civility, go to high school debates. Politics is a blood sport, and Caspar Milquetoast wimps don't cut it. The enemy is fifing live ammo, damnit! How long do you thinlk we should continue to respond with blanks?

Look at the poll numbers, if you take stock in such things. President Bush is one of the best presidents in a really long time. Why are the numbers so low? A: it's because of the unrelenting campaign of hatred, vitriol, and lies that pour from the libeRATs like toxic waste. The sheeple lap it up. And what do they see from our side?

"Well, that's not exactly true, and gosh darn it, we're really sad about the things they are saying."

SCREW THAT!

"Here at the Spawn of Satan convention in Boston..."

THAT is what gets attention, and what gets attention works.

No one is forced at gunpoint to read Ann's masterpieces, and everyone is free to express any opinions they desire about them. I'm certain that she pouts about negative comments all the way to the bank.

As for USA Today, I'm amazed that the liberal rag even carries her column. Maybe Ann is their token conservative

Doc, that was their attempt at providing a "token" conservative so they could claim they are fair and balanced. They aren't. They won't censor Michale "big fat white man" Moore when he provides his scathing commentary on the GOP convention I can guarantee you.

When they realized that she doesn't sugar coat an lie they backpeddaled and probably were thinking "Oh crap, we can't print that, what will our liberal friends think". She even said that on "Hannity &amp; Colmes" last night. "They knew what they were getting when they hired me".

No, Moore edits his material in a manner that promotes his point and negates the point that he is against.

I would not compare Coulter to Moore. More like a Carville though, but only in print though. She is much more civil on television.

Conservatives should have standards and not just accept a mediocre contribution from a usually reliable pundit.

This would have been ok on a bulletin board. However, as a lead article for a major media outlet, it is substandard.

Agree with every single word, Doc.

I've long since removed my gloves. From now on, libs/lefties/'RATS are only going to get the rough side of my tongue.

Man, if I had a dollar for every time I tried to keep my temper when arguing with Maine commies only to have my head chewed up and spat out for my trouble. Enough is enough is enough!

Ann Coulter is my hero. Always was, always will be. She's such a refreshing change from our spineless elected officials who seem unable to do anything but suck up to the left in the hopes that "they will like us." It's mortifying.

Doc, like Ann, you're my hero.

ES, lighten up.
