We tried this recipe two weeks ago. The steaks were extremely tender and a terrific taste.
1 1/2 lbs of top round steak
1 tbsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tbsp butter
1/2 tsp celery seeds
1/2 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp rosemary
2 tbsp white wine vinegar (folks like me should feel free to substitue Apple vinegar)
1/4 cup water
1 sm onion, sliced (Since I am allergic to onions, we substitued 1/4 cup of Sliced Jalapenos)
Season meat with salt and pepper. Brown meat on both sides in hot butter in a heavy fry pan. Add remaining ingredients; cover tightly and simmer over low heat for about 1 1/2 hours, until tender.
Serve with Dinner rolls, Baked Sweet Potatoes, corn on the cob and a Large class of Sweet Tea.
