Is there a reason I can upload an Avatar, but not an image from my hard drive in a post? It would sure be nice if those of us without web pages could add pictures!

You can, what you have to do is click the "Reply" button and not the the quick reply box.
When you do that if you look down under the post there is an area that says "Manage Attachments". Click the button, upload the files, close it and then submit the post.

Underneath the reply box are 'Additional Options' and one selection is 'Manage Attachments'.

Click on that and you should be able to upload an image from your HD. I uploaded the Bronco logo.

A more reliable method is to use one of the online photo storage sites that allow hotlinking. That way the photo is available for use anywhere.

Go here for a list of them.

The cat is a monster!
He's a gigantic freak kitty! A cat that big could weigh about 35 pounds!

Is the pic real?

It may another Photoshop special similar to this proven fraud. However, if it is, it's fairly well done, even to the nice touch of adding a reflection in the glass behind her and the cat.

There ARE proven cases of giant cats.

I had a fat cat that looked just like this cat, only thing was he wasnt THT big, he was like 16 pounds worth though and was a scrapper at heart.

Dad nicknamed him El Salvador, or Sal for short.
