Oyster Stew
1 Quart oysters with liquid
1/4 Cup parsley
White pepper & Salt to taste
1 tsp MSG (optional)
1 Stick of Butter
Extra virgin olive oil
6 Tbsp flour
1 minced onion
1/2 cup finely chopped green onion
1/2 cup finely chopped celery
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 dry white wine
1 Cup Chicken stock or Half & Half
Melt butter and whisk in flour and stir constantly over medium heat for about 5 minutes (if it's too thick add a little oil). In a seperate pan add a little olive oil and saute' green onion, onion, celery until soft, add garlic and parsley for a few more minutes and add to the butter flour mixture. Add the wine, chicken stock, oysters and seasonings and simmer for about 20 minutes.
