BEEF ROUND STEAK DIABLO

<DL><DD>1 (2 lb.) beef round bottom steak, cut about 1" thick
1 c. picante sauce
1/3 c. fresh or frozen chopped onion
1 tbsp. dry white wine
1 1/2 tbsp. salt
1/2 tsp. sugar
1 tbsp. prepared mustard
1 tbsp. monosodium glutamate</DD></DL></PRE>
About 2 1/2 hours before serving: Trim and discard any excess fat from round steak. In 12" skillet over medium high heat, stir remaining ingredients with 2 cups water. Add meat, turning to coat with mixture; heat to boiling. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours or until meat is fork tender, turning once. Place meat on warm platter. Yield: 8 servings.
</DD></DL>I am gonna try this recipe tonight. Gonna substitue Jalapeno's for the onions and Apple Vinegar for the white wine. I will let yall know how it turns out.
