Red Sox Hero Curt Schilling: 'Vote Bush'
Posted Oct 28, 2004
ABC'S CHARLIE GIBSON: "Well, well said, Curt and Shonda. You both have certainly lifelong membership now in the Red Sox nation. It was a great thing to watch, and I think everybody … "whether they were great Red Sox fans or not …" had to admire what this team did. It was extraordinary, and one of the great stories of sport. And sport always produces such great stories. Curt, Shonda, great to have you with us. Congratulations."
CURT AND SHONDA SCHILLING: "Thank You."
CURT SCHILLING: "And make sure you tell everybody to vote, and vote Bush next week."

When asked who was his all-time favorite Red Sox player, John Kerry responded, "Eddie Yost." Eddie Yost never played for the Red Sox. He played for the Washington Senators.
EDIT:
When campaigning in Wisconsin, Kerry referred to Lambeau Field as "Lambert Field". Maybe that's why Bush will probably win Wisconsin.

Curt was a Republican in HS. Glad his views haven't changed. ;)

You should see some of the comments in the Yankee forums about what Schilling said. You know, "He's rich and is taken care of by Bush" and so forth. To them I say, "Whatever!"

 I hadn't heard about that one. Maybe because it wasn't Dan Quayle who said it.

Yes, whatever! If only they knew he wasn't rich in high school and he was conservative then. A lot of money went to medical bills for his wife and to start up his company, MultiMan Publishing....
Let's not forget his Open Letter (http://espn.go.com/mlb/s/2001/0915/1251689.html) to America right after 9-11.
To the fans of Major League Baseball, and the victims and families of Tuesday's terrorist attacks in New York and Washington D.C.,
I'd like to start off by saying that what I am writing is purely my opinion, and my family's feelings on these issues. I am not speaking for any other players in baseball, or in any other sport across our nation or around the world.http://espn-att.starwave.com/i/mlb/profiles/players/4267.jpg

Jim Bunning is a Republican senator from Kentucky who used to pitch for the Tigers and the Phillies. The trail is already blazed. Schilling would make a pretty good senator in any state he calls home, don't you think?

The liberals are all about class warfare and division. I swear if I hear John Kerry mention the "middle class" one more time I will scream. The President is supposed to be President of ALL the people.

I hope you don't mind if I email him this thread.I certainly don't...I like Schilling. He gutted it out and, IMO, was the inspiration behind the Sox beating the Yanks.
Now that he's shown "his colors", I like him even more. Way to go Curt!! Sadly, I do believe that's the last time you'll ever be invited onto Good Morning America. LOL
Fox and Friends will likely be callin', though! :thumb:
