This year, I am voting to kill my countrymen.
That is, essentially, what John Kerry supporters are saying. It doesn’t matter to them that John Kerry gave aid and comfort to the enemy during the Vietnam War. It doesn’t matter to them that he lied and smeared his fellow servicemen, calling them rapists, murderers and sadists. It doesn’t matter that nearly everyone who served with John Kerry in Vietnam say he was unfit for command. It doesn’t matter that his 20-year record in the senate is so abysmal that he refuses to run on his record. It doesn’t matter that he has insulted every one of our coalition partners and threatened the stability of the rebuilding of Iraq. It doesn’t matter that his timetable of withdrawal before the government of Iraq has complete control has emboldened the enemy to fight on, killing more civilians every day. It doesn’t matter to them that Kerry believes the key to fighting the "war on terror" is to increase the ranks of policemen and firemen, to help put out the fires and dispose of the dead when America is once again attacked by terrorists. All that matters to these mindless few is the reacquisition of power by their party.
I despise them.
A Kerry vote will show bin Laden and his ilk once again that America does not have the stomach for war, even if it is a war they are winning. It will reassure them that a plurality of Americans are mindless, stupid people who are willing to believe anything a partisan media throws at them, regardless of how ridiculous it is. It will show them, as it showed the North Vietnamese government and as it reassured in Somalia, that if you inflict great harm on Americans they will turn tail and run. The result will be dead Americans in our streets and in our cities.
America is a nation betrayed. It has been betrayed by the leaders of our political parties who rejected all reason and the rule of law in exchange for partisan diatribe which did nothing but undermine the credibility of the president. It has been betrayed by a partisan media that knows the facts about the traitor who is the Democratic candidate, but refuses to divulge those facts. It has been betrayed by these same media who have violated federal law and used false documents to shore up a false accusation and who have then attempted to pass their smear off as news. It has been betrayed by a judiciary that interprets law to suit its political leanings. On November 2nd, it will be again betrayed by about half of the country who will go to the polls to vote for a man who would be unfit to serve as a prison guard at Abu Ghraib if his record were to be made public.
America now prepares to go to the polls and choose the leader of the free world. If they choose poorly, we will stop taking the war to the enemy and they will again take the war to us. Thousands more will die. Their blood will not be only on the hands of the terrorists, but also on those who chose to end the American policy of preemption and instead react to terrorist attacks after they happen. It is an absolute certainty that our enemies are set upon our destruction. The question is whether they will find an alliance with those within our country who myopically reject a decent and moral man for a known traitor.
