"Fired up" Kerry eyes 2008 presidential race, plans on visible role in Senate
By Mike Allen
The Washington Post
<!--STCFIRST-->WASHINGTON — Democrat John Kerry plans to use his Senate seat and long lists of supporters to remain a major voice in U.S. politics despite losing the presidential race last Tuesday, and he is assessing the feasibility of running for president again in 2008, friends and aides said yesterday.
Kerry will attend a post-election lame-duck Senate session that begins next week and has said he is "fired up" to play a highly visible role, the friends and aides said.
Aides said Kerry is relishing the prospect of renewed combat with President Bush, fighting such measures as the president's proposal to open the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to oil drilling.
Kerry's plans contrast starkly with the approach taken by former Vice President Al Gore, who all but disappeared from the political scene after losing to Bush in the disputed 2000 presidential election.
Kerry fueled talk about a 2008 presidential bid during remarks at a Washington restaurant Saturday night. He provoked a thunderous reception by reminding about 400 campaign aides and volunteers that Ronald Reagan twice sought the Republican nomination for president before winning it in 1980.

As Einstein once said: "Stupidity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results."
Doesnt he know when to give up?
I hope the swiftvets dont give up the fight to expose him, I so would love to see that traitor sit in jail for treason.
Him and Jane Fonda both, along with Tom Hayden!

... and that William Jennings Bryan was 0-4, or that the last time a senator was elected president and a Rat from MA was elected were in the 1960s. Oh, yes, that 60s fascination of the Rat party.

Not to worry. Didn't he say he was going to be visible in the Senate?
It's NOT gonna happen.
Besides (snicker, snicker) what do you want to bet that Teresa won't let him run again.
The press has just begun to wring out all the dirty laundry of the campaign. Teresa's dirty laundry in particular.

That was my main thought, he has totally neglected his seat even before he was running for President. What a schmuck!

Bring it on Senator!! Eight months of watching you get beat over the head just wasn't enough for me. Run again so we can watch the cannibalism in the primaries as you, Hillary and Dean compete for the biggest butt-kisser. I look forward to the entertainment.

If Waffles the Clown said that, it means he IS going to run for President.
Beyond Kerry's far-Left views, beyond that his campaign was based on hate, John Kerry is just... boring.
The Dems are going to ahve to find someone who can connect with the American people. GW Bush does that.
For all you can say about Bill Clinton, he did that too. You wouldn't leave him alone with your daughter for more than 15 seconds, but Clinton was the kind of guy you could have a beer with and have a good time.
John Kerry would give you a doctoral thesis on how his brand of beer is better and how GW Bush's favorite beer will destroy America.
It is a sad but true fact that personality counts as much with the sheeple as competence and values.

These idiots have a very selective memory! On one hand they whine about the election being stolen because the raw vote didn't match the "exit polls" but on the other hand the "exit polls" showed that 30 percent of sKerry's support was the anybody but Bush vote! If this moron does get nominated again he will be in for a very big surprise on election night!!!

You are correct. What I should have said was that his percentage was less than Al WHORE.
