As announced on our local radio news this morning, the county in which I live is now...officially...as per the 2004 election...
...are you ready for this?
The REDDEST county in the U S of A!!!!!
Apparently our 92+% vote for Bush beat out the runner-up counties in Idaho and Nebraska respectively.
Here's my T-Shirt and bumper sticker idea:
I'm from the Reddest county in

BUSH COUNTRY!
Any real 'pubs interested in relocating to someplace more accomodating to your conservative viewpoints may PM me for details!

:moo: According to that webpage, it should be obvious which county you live in. Since you've always been secretive about your exact location, I won't blurt it out, but you just gave it away.

Well Hunt County Texas may not be the Reddest county in America but we gave President Bush over 70% of our votes. Not bad for a county that ten years ago was considered Yellow Dog democrat to the core.

But if I left my BLUE county and moved to yours, who would I be able to argue politics with?

I'm pretty proud of Our County as well. Of course, we do have Fort Hood in it.

I live very close to you Sunnybrook. I'm in Weatherford near Ft Worth. Not a blue county for miles.

You lucky folks! Here in Kerrychusetts, my rural town went 211-104 for the war criminal (although the 104 surprised me). And, there's an inch of white snot on the ground. The urge to migrate is growing again.

Moo: I'm not too worried about it. Most wouldn't bother to do the math!
WL: Not too close; it's still a day's drive for me, although I do have a sister in Irving.
DD & others: Ya'll are certainly welcome, although we currently have snow falling that will likely accumulate to an inch or two tonight. My part of TX definitely still has all 4 seasons! In spite of the snow my kids are headed up to the Activity Center to swim today. Go figure!

Because it's covered with snow?
Actually, Alaska doesn't have counties, though there are electoral divisions or something that are sort of reckoned as counties when making maps like these.
Louisiana has parishes, but for all intents and purposes they are like counties.
In northeastern states, are election results even broken down by county? I thought they were broken down with results for individual cities, then smaller towns and villages get lumped together with unincorporated rural areas and the like for the rest of the state.

Grayson County was very Crinsom itself! Amazing how many peanut farmers hate the way the Demorcratic Party has turned in years, huh? I'm right on the Red River and we have enough of all kinds of weather to declare that we do, indeed, have 4 seasons!! :coffee:
