Looks like the Green and Libertarian candidates raised enough money to force an official recount of all votes in Ohio. This is actually a great thing. Bush will, once again, be confirmed beyond all doubt as the winner in this election. The lefty nuts will be forced to move on to their next conspiracy wank-off.

A statewide recount of the presidential vote appears inevitable after a pair of third-party candidates said they have collected enough money to pay for it.
The recount would be conducted after the election results are certified in early December. Libertarian Michael Badnarik and the Green Party's David Cobb said on Monday they raised more than $150,000 in four days, mostly in small contributions.

Hope they throw out the illegals and the deceased votes while they are counting.

That dollar amount doesn't sound right. I heard that it costs $110,000.00 per precinct for a full recount. I can't imagine that they could do a full state recount for that paltry amount. And Ohio wasn't the state they wanted recounted according to the news report I heard. It was New Hampshire.

Nevermind, I just read the article. Ohio recounts are cheap. Well Bush won by a huge margin so I don't think there is anything to worry about. They aren't even going to do the recount until after the election is certified. Seems like a waste of money to me.

I'm glad they're doing a re-count. When Bush wins twice they can finally shut up once and for all. I wont have to put up with this, "Bush stole the election" crap.

Then, pray tell, what possible reason does the LP have for funding a recount?
Do they think they actually WON Ohio?

The Libertarian party has boasted that they help Democrats win elections. I'm not surprised at all that they are doing this. They have a lot of people fooled. They had me fooled for a short time but it didn't take me long to realize that they are no more right wing than Alan Colmes is. Open borders, same sex marriage, pro-choice, drug legalization are all leftwing ideologies.

Wishful thinking ILMC, but every recount in '00 in FL showed Bush won but the LWNs still claim he stole it.
When you consider over 110,000,000 votes cast, there's no way to ever get a dead-on accurate count unless you could do it all on computers and they all were working properly. When you rely on imperfect and biased human beings, you have a certain amount of potential error or fraud.
I still think my idea of a SS card with a magnetic strip for voting would give us the closest to an accurate count.

The Libertarians played a significant role in 2002.
Tim Johnson (I) Dem 167,481 49.6%
John R. Thune GOP 166,954 49.5%
Kurt Evans Lib 3,071 0.9%
According to these numbers from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Thune lost by 527 votes. Note the 3,071 votes for Kurt Evans, who withdrew from the race three weeks earlier and gave his support to Thune. The jerks voted for him anyway and kept the RAT in power.
This sort of nonsense demonstrates the political allegiance of the Libertarians.
