Hey everyone! :) I'm new here so could you tell me how these boards work and anything I should know? Thanks. I'm an American liberal living in England, and I'm on these boards because I'm curious to hear your opinions.
By they way, will I get an email telling me when someone replies to my message, or do I have to come back and check?

A Liberal living abroad eh? Well, if you're here for honest debate then super, I'm all for it. Unfortunately, many Libs who come here do so to insult and end up banned. Not making a threat or anything but most have no interest in debate.
Good luck. I hope we can have some good chat.

Welcome! I always thought liberals were fools... that's a relitive term I'm coming to understand. We're all a bit foolish now and then.
Have a good time, will ya?

I just got back from Dallas, Texas! I lived there when I was really little, so we were just visiting. There are really good restaurants there :P

LOL do you get something that says "banned from freeconservatives"? Not that I want to be banned... I just saw your "banned from the democratic underground" picture and that made me think of it.

Pretty astute observation. People have asked what I wold miss most about moving away from the Dallas area. I tell them it is my church and the great restaurants. That and the fact that it is "real America" and not the part that is dominated by socialists.

Yeah, now it bothers me when people, especially over here, think that Texas is just a bunch of fat people, fast food, and cowboys.
I saw your picture- the OU one. I just got back from Oklahoma also! :) I never lived there though. I was just visiting my grandma.

unfortunately, most of the time when anyone left of center tries to engage in an honest debate, they just end up getting called 'homo' and other various clever insults. i'm all for honest debate. just give me the same respect that you ask for.

Okker, I will give respect in debate as long as I receive it. I think you will find that is the case with many.
Someone, I where my "Banned" badge for the DU because I'm proud of it. Go to those boards and disagree even once and you're gone. I made one post in regards to Bill Clinton being caught in a lie and I was banned. So be it, I say.
I'm at my mom's house and her SSLLLOOOWW puter right now so I'll get to the debating when I get home in a few days.

I like your signature. It's like the anti-flag song where they say "No borders, no nations, no flags, no patriots." I've never actually heard it- I just like that part.
