http://freeconservatives.com/smilies/areindeer.gif Christmas vacation is here, with only one week left to finish shopping, or making last-minute preparations for "the big day". I put my decoration out last Thursday; my large plastic Snoopy Claus now stands proudly at the top of the stairs, a beacon in the cold night air. Since he's right outside my bedroom window, I can leave him on all night, since I don't have to leave on a night light. Friday should be a great day, since it's Christmas Eve, & my church will be having an evening service. Plastic Snoopys & other secular trappings notwithstanding, let's all take time to remember Who this holiday is really all about.

1. Do you have any plans for Christmas Eve? If so, what?
Our church does a Christmas Eve service where different people do musical or dramatic presentations, testimomies, etc. I'm doing a reading from Max Lucado called "Questions for Joseph". I hope that I can get through it w/o breaking down, 'cause there's one part that always gets to me.
2. Do you have plans for New Year’s Eve? If so, what?
None yet

3. How far do you work from home?
30 mile

4. How long have you been on the Internet?
~6 years

5. How old is your computer?
~6 years

6. How many hours a month do you spend surfing the Internet?
~50 hrs

7. How much have you decorated for Christmas?
Just the right amount. We scaled back a little from our original plans, but it looks really good.

1. Do you have any plans for Christmas Eve? If so, what?

I will spend Christmas Eve with my parents at home, the usual Christmas dinner and present opening. (In Germany you do that on Christmas Eve) We might go to the church before dinner. We don't know yet though. We might first go to church the day after Christmas Eve.

2. Do you have plans for New Year’s Eve? If so, what?

I'm flying on holiday just the day before New Year's Eve with my boyfriend. So we'll spend it together abroad.

3. How far do you work from home?

about 35 miles

4. How long have you been on the Internet?

Since 1995.

5. How old is your computer?

Main box: 1 1/2 y. ,
Second box: 2 years,
Laptop: 3 or 4 months

6. How many hours a month do you spend surfing the Internet?

about 2 hours per workday and up to 10 hours per weekend due to web-work
makes roughly about 80 hours per month

7. How much have you decorated for Christmas?
Not at all yet. I have a very small Christmas tree, an advent wreath in the living room, a Xmassy table cover and we'll set the window and balcony lights up on Wednesday I suppose. My room however isn't decorated yet.

1. Do you have any plans for Christmas Eve? If so, what?
Supper with my in-laws, then opening presents there
(the ones they give us and we give them)

2. Do you have plans for New Year’s Eve? If so, what?
Spend a quiet evening at home with Bubba and the children
(or not so quiet, if someone else takes the kiddos for the night -- hubba, hubba!)

3. How far do you work from home?
uhhh, how far is home from home?

4. How long have you been on the Internet?
Tonight? 1hr 22 min (so far, and counting)

5. How old is your computer?
As BOTH my computers are female, and it is NOT nice to ask a woman her age, I decline to answer as it is a woman's perogative to do so, LOL

6. How many hours a month do you spend surfing the Internet?
I never learned to surf -- I should take lessons, but I can't figure out how to get my computer down to the beach as it is not a laptop, LOL
(In other words, too much to count)

7. How much have you decorated for Christmas?
One: I put my Snowman Family House ID out beside the entrance to our drive,
Two: I hung a HUGE Christmas wreath on our front fence, and a small blue Christmas wreath on the front door,
Three: I put out my Christmas village, singing Christmas Tree, Christmas votive candle arrangements by my television and on my tables,
Four: I displayed my Christmas towels on my Gramma's antique glass curio cabinet, and
Five: I have PROMINENTLY displayed my TWO Nativity Sets, The Ten Commandments, The Lord's Prayer, and my praying hands figurine where they are the first things you will see if you open my front door.
Is that too much?

This week's questions:

1. Do you have any plans for Christmas Eve? If so, what?
We will be in Palm Springs, CA at CaliBoys sister and bro in law's house. Don't know what the plans are yet.

2. Do you have plans for New Year’s Eve? If so, what?
Sorta. We will probably attend a gathering in our complex where we live.

3. How far do you work from home?
Work about 9 miles

4. How long have you been on the Internet?
April 13, 1996, on AOL

5. How old is your computer?
Too old! Actually it's 6 years come Feb 2005!

6. How many hours a month do you spend surfing the Internet?
Last month was 150 hours. Earthlink has hours on the bill. :D

7. How much have you decorated for Christmas?
Not much. Live in a 2 bedroom condo, and there isn't much space. Have a small fake decorated tree on end-table, wreath on front door. Our table has a white table cloth with red place mats and a red candle on it.

1. Do you have any plans for Christmas Eve? If so, what?

With three small children, I am lucky if/when I get to go to the grocery store!!
It will be the usual---an intimate dinner for 5!! Perhaps Christmas DVDs/videos....
I wish I could say for sure we will go to church. But I have learned that my husband and I rarely call the shots around here these days!!
i am not complaining, just making fun of myself!! There is no place I would rather be than with my family at home

2. Do you have plans for New Year’s Eve? If so, what?

Ditto on that one too. If we are not fogged in, perhaps we will go to the top of the mountains nearby and overlook all the fireworks in SF and Bazerkely. Realistically, we will watch them on TV (LOL)

3. How far do you work from home?

I am the CEO of my house!!! I suppose you could add commuting time as dropping off picking up my oldest from Kindegarten as part of the job description. In that case I would say one mile!!

4. How long have you been on the Internet?

Since about 1995

5. How old is your computer?
I just purchased an Apple a few months back (no pop ups, no spyware, no viruses). But because I am an apple illiterate, I am keeping my Dell, which is only at the most 1 1/2 years old anyway

6. How many hours a month do you spend surfing the Internet?

WAY, WAY, WAY TOO MANY!!

7. How much have you decorated for Christmas?

Usually we go "all out" but my youngest is one and just started walking. This means he will inevitably pull a large tree down. So this year, we will do the usual decorations with the acception of a small tree we have placed on a table---high up and out of reach!

******HEY, THIS IS A VERY IMPRESSIVE SECTION. I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT BEFORE. I LOOK FORWARD TO GETTING TO KNOW SOME OF YOU IN MY SPARE TIME :wish4Z: :D

ah well being from southern california can be frustrating for a republican like me but fortunely i live in orange county (south of LA and north of san diego) which is the Republican heaven in southern california , and orange county has the 3rd lowest uneployment in the state . obviously LA over spends :duh:

but ah we got the govenator which is 100% better then the socialist gray davis we had b4 , gosh he wanted to tax candy and snacks and double tobacco tax .
