Who cares, I know. But, I put this in here to point out one thing. While she sued for big money, (someone's secretary typed large figures into the complaint, that's all that means) in order to snag headlines, conspicuously absent is how much she settled for. Bills please some walking money probably!

Woman Injured in 1997 Thanksgiving Parade Resolves Suit
The Associated Press
NEW YORK (AP) - A woman who suffered a fractured skull after a balloon slammed into a lamppost during the 1997 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade has settled a lawsuit against the department store and city, her attorney said.
Kathleen Caronna resolved the suit on the eve of jury selection, lawyer John Q. Kelly said in a statement Tuesday.
He did not immediately return a call seeking details. Caronna had sought $95 million in compensatory damages from Macy's, New York City and the lamppost manufacturer. She was also seeking $300 million in punitive damages from Macy's.
Lorna Goodman, a spokeswoman for the city's corporation counsel, confirmed that the suit had been resolved but was not aware of the details. A message left for Mitchell Borger, a Macy's representative, was not immediately returned.
Caronna was injured in 1997, when a wind-driven Cat in the Hat balloon veered away from its handlers and slammed into a lamppost, causing the pole's horizontal arm to break off and showering debris on paradegoers.
Caronna, 37, of Manhattan, was in a coma for nearly a month after the accident. Three other spectators also suffered injuries, though not as serious as Caronna's.
After the accident, a task force imposed several rules to try to make the parade safer, including restrictions on the size and design of balloons and grounding them if wind speed reached 23 mph and gusts hit 34 mph.
