:moo: I hope that each & every one of you had a joyous Christmas, & now, we can all look forward to a new year. This next week, we'll see a litany of reflections back to 2004, & the top headlines of the year. Thanks be to God, that we didn't have a defining tragedy, such as in 2001. And more thanks to Him for allowing us to have four more years of a president who will defend our freedoms, & protect the sociëty where our children & grandchildren will be raised. I'm personally thankful that this Thursday, at 6:04 PM CST, a plane will touch down at George H. Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, with Mrs. Platinum & Xane, the two of them having left last August to help care for her mother, after her father went to be with Our LORD. It'll be a lot easiër to listen to "Auld Lang Syne", with them here at home. In this thread, there is only one "question of the week", & that is to share with us what you are thankful for, as you look back on 2004. Of course, this is the week when the usual questions are put on hold, as we have our 3rd Annual FreeCers Awards.

"Counterpoint" is for our resident liberals who have done their best to present the views that most of us oppose, in a gracious manner. "Killer Bee" is for the conservative who is occasionally at odds with the rest of us, & stands his/her ground with ample links & well-reasoned arguments. Now, let's all dive right in, & cast your "ballot" in the various categories. This year, I'll request that all votes be in by the end of 2004, Pacific Standard Time. For all you Palm Beach demonicrats, that means midnight Friday.

I am grateful:

that Jesus found me when I was lost. He patiently waited for me to look up.
to live in this country where I can worship God openly.
for the love a wonderful man. He was worth the all the false starts to find him.
and pretty good health considering how I've treated my body these many years.
All the rest is icing that makes my life joyous, challenging and worth living.

First off, this is hard! FC is chock full of GREAT posters . . . to narrow it down to a handfull is very difficult, and certainly not a true measure of the magnificence of the populace as a whole.

My avatar is the lead singer of my FAVORITE BAND H.I.M., also known as simply HIM. They are from Finland, and his name is Ville Valo. He is half Finnish/ half Hungarian, of course he is mesmerizing, hes AWESOME!!

Many people say I resemble him,(which is great, as he is often voted/acclaimed to be very attractive) but my mom says I'm better looking! :thumb:
