One wonders why they didn't sue the breweries over the social havoc they have caused with their product.
Is this retrospective litigation a stretch? Like the asbestos litigation? Like tobacco? Or is this a vital, valid way for the profiteers to pay for the social ill their product caused?

Milwaukee Sues Two Lead-Paint Companies

MILWAUKEE (AP) - The city of Milwaukee is suing two paint companies in an effort to force them to pay for removing lead-based paint from homes.
The lawsuit claims Mautz Paint, a Madison-based company that produced lead paint, and NL Industries of Houston, a producer of lead pigments, intentionally concealed their knowledge of the hazards of lead paint to maintain demand for the products.
