This is a pretty amazing clip.

It's a music video made from footage of a documentary about the 'Mass Games' in North Korea.

You can't see cultural educational or educational meaning there?
It's a very rare glimpse into North Korea. People from the West aren't usually supposed to see this sort of thing.

I, as an American, have no problem with the North Korean people. If they can exist happily as a Communist nation, then more power to them. It's their government threatening nuclear war with the United States that I have a problem with.

I think that they are afraid of the U.S. and want to use nukes as a deterrant to make sure they don't get invaded.

It would be a good question to wonder if any country has the right to defent it self from potential U.S. aggression.

Absolutely not. No country has the right defend itself against US aggression. All countries should accept our dictatorship, the same totalitarian dictatorship we have here at home, and we should nuke anyone who whines.

Get a clue, you jackass.

If you're trying to sound deep and philosophical, you're failing. Defense is an axiomatic element in existing as a nation. Then again, I guess defenting yourself against the United States could be pretty intimidating.

Just trying point out what should be obvious but seems to get overlooked. There's a general sense (in America) that the idea of U.S. hegemony cannot even be questioned. Nothing deep or philosophical.

The only reason North Korea wants nukes is for extortion. Nobody and I mean Nobody is a threat to them for one very simple reason, they have nothing! Not one resource in there country is left, not one. Even their people are not usefull. They are a dead and decaying society who feel the only way to prosper is to threaten the bordering countries with nukes. North Korea is like an ant yielding a stick at an elephant. The smartest of all the population are looking for anyway out of the country. The rest are either starving to death or about to be eating by the former.

Absolutely. Their primary source of income seems to be money extorted from other ocuntries who don't want to endure the threat of nuclear warfare. It's just like the Russians after the revolution. They always had surpluses and then after the revolution they had 65 straight years of drought. Communism, no matter what the form, is evil.

Wow. Glad I'm not starving.

...according to refugees who have fled the stricken country...

Gerald Bourke, the WFP's representative in Beijing, said it was difficult for his organisation to substantiate the reports of cannibalism as they were unable to get to the markets.

If you're concerned about feeding hungry people you should really do something about it. But where to start?

In the United States the richest society in the whole of human history, 32 million people were living below the poverty line in 1988 (this was at the height of a 1980’s boom) and nearly one in five children were born into poverty.

As usual you are living up to your FreeOzoneDumb reputation.

One of my best friends is a merchant marine. He tells me that for years he was on a ship that took grain to North Korea free of charge and unloaded it on the docks just to watch the North Koreans haul it up the docks to a waiting Russian flaged ship. All the FREE grain was being sold by the North Koreans as fast as the American public could donate it to them. In the mean time the North Koreans were building a huge arsonal that was mainly Russian made arms.

:soap: Do you honestly think the starving people in North Korea have enjoyable lives? They can build nuclear reactors, but cannot feed their own ****ing people. They build their nuclear reactors and THEN try to blackmail the Western world into giving them food, aid, water, medicine, etc, that will most likely go to the ruling eilite. Those poor people won't see a pound of food each. Russia was that way too. Do you see a pattern here? Communism at it's best folks....the Proletariat have risen to the occasion and created a Utopian society on the Korean peninsula!!!

Who do you think is filming/having this commissioned freedumb?

---It is not a private news media outlet.

---It's not a private citizen who was just able to freely post this on the internet without government orders/consent.

It's PROPAGANDA. Their was Soviet propaganda all over Eastern Europe as well, if you can beleive that!!!:duh:

It was filmed for utopian, leeching morons like yourself who can sit at home and say, "Oh, I guess we just are not ready for it yet, we still need more time to evolve." Are you kidding me? And you people wonder why no one wants communism? You people wonder why Eastern Europe hates Russians with a passion, nor trusts the current government. Go ahead, go to North Korea, I am sure Kim will welcome you with open arms. He would love to have sheep like you under his rule.

Here is their website. THE DEMOCRATIC PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF NORTH KOREA. Bon Voyage! http://www.korea-dpr.com/ :bw:

Some would consider communism a religion, Rink. It's "god" is either Marx, Lenin, Mao, or Castro--or simply "the Revolution."
