I completely agree with this ruling. The SCOTUS had a good day today. They also ruled that heat sensors violate our fourth Amendment rights.

Good on the Supremes on two counts.

No surprise about Ruth Buzzi Ginsberg's, John Paul Stevens' and David Souter's votes on the Church issue.

The US Supreme court by a 6-3 vote said that a New York Christian youth group has a right to meet after school.

DUH! This should not even be an issue--if a public school allows various public uses outside of regular school uses they cannot discriminate on the basis of religious content. But public school officials and teachers' unions are so openly hostile to religion these cases keep coming up.

To his credit, liberal justice Steven Breyer joined the forces of righteousness on this one. Souter, Ginsberg and Stevens took up the banner of kneejerk liberal anti-religious bigotry.

O'Conner dissented with them on Church and State.

The school adminstrators encourage homos and minority racist groups to meet on school property after school, but contort logic and fairness into pretzels in order to avoid extending the same accommodation to religious groups and any others that don't embrace homosexuality, abortion, and racial preference.
