Original Flint Hills Chili

YOU NEED:

1 lb. of spicy pork sausage
1 lb. of very lean ground beef
2 cans (4 oz. ea.) whole green chilis, drained and cut into strips
1 can whole kernel corn, drained
1 can garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained
1 med. onion, chopped (about 1/2 cup or more)
1 cup of chicken broth
1 tsp . Chicken Seasoning
1-1/2 tsp. Cajun Spice Seasoning
3 tsp. chili powder (fresh as possible)
3 tsp. dried cilantro leaves (fresh is much better if you can get them)
2 tsp. sugar or honey (I prefer the natural honey myself)

* Brown sausage and ground beef in a large skillet with just a tblsp.
of olive oil...after browing....drain and put into your crock pot.
* Mix the rest of the ingredients in with the meat.
* cover and put on low for 3-4 hrs and then set on hight setting for
30-45 minutes. Turn off and let "rest". ( IT will still be cooking after
you turn it off...leave lid on to keep in moisture and flavor. Servie over
rice if you desire.
