This has not been a great last twelve months for me.
In the last year, I've lost:
1. My mother from heart problems.
2. An uncle of mine from the effects of Alzheimer's.
3. An older relative from a cerebral hemmorhage.
And now, my aunt (who was my legal guardian for the first four years I lived in the USA) has been diagnosed with a severe form of leukemia and she may not have long to live. :nono: The only solice is the fact she's set up all the funeral arrangements and I just called the funeral home (the same one where my mom's funeral was held) to be on standby.
I can use all the  from everyone here on FC.

i'm still new here but i , i will say that : 1 year my grandpa's sister died and my cousin jamie who died at age 7 . back in 1991 my moms oldest brother died of diabetes and under 6 months later my great grandmother dies . those were tough years , i never got to meet my moms grandmother who lived in mexico .
my cousin jamie choked on a jaw breaker and went into a coma , and a week later they pulled the plug (it was a few days b4 christmas). for a long time it still felt like "yesterday i saw my cousin"
every year my cousin joe and his dad go to my cousin jamies grave to bring flowers .
i remember focusing on good memories with my lost family members to help overcome the sadness . and its good to let out all the emotion with crying , i admit i am a crying person , holding it in always has made things harder for me to get thru .
, peace
I will pray for you Ray. That is alot to bear. I have known more people that died in the last 18 months than in the rest of my 34 years. Just part of the end times, I guess.

You got my deepest sympathies, Ray. Nothing's harder than losing folks you really care about.

Aww sorry to hear that :( Try to keep yourself healthy and happy (obviously that won't be easy but just don't get too depressed). Join a group or something that you can enjoy, and that will take your mind off the sad things. Remember that you still have your friends! :)

Father God On High,
We come to you on behalf of a brother seemingly at one of the lowest points in his journey, and we humbly ask for Your Presence, Your Loving Embrace to encompass his being and give him peace and assurance. Dear Lord, losing loved ones is such a personal deeply felt sorrow, and so often so hard for others to help in bearing the weight. Give us, fellow brothers and sisters, the words and the ability to be a strengthening rock for our brother, to be a stronghold in damaging winds.
Jesus, we ask Your Grace and Mercy upon those left behind, as well, let them know in their hearts that You Are God and Your Love can sustain in times of trouble and pain. Let them all know Your Peace that passes all understanding, and grant them comfort in these trying times.
Thank you God, we love you with hearts, and minds, and souls. Help us to always be Your Light.
In Christ Name we ask,
Amen.

This is especially true when my aunt was a legal guardian for the first four years I lived in the USA. I will miss her quite dearly when she finally passes. :(

First of all, I'm very sorry for your loss and Ray's loss. Those are very hard losses to accept. My deepest sympathies.
Your post brought back a very scary moment in my life when I was about ten involving a jawbreaker. I was choking and somehow managed to get it out. I won't touch them.
