This is realllly reallly good, but will sure clog your pipes up! Lol!

1- pkg of boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2- pkgs chipped beef
1- large can of cream of mushroom soup
1- 16 oz container of sour cream
1- pkg bacon
Fresh ground pepper to taste

Take a large baking dish and layer the bottom with the chipped beef.

Take each chicken breast and cut it in half. Wrap each half with a piece of bacon. Place the bacon wrapped chicken on the chipped beef.

Mix the can of cream of mushroom soup and the sour cream in a large bowl until well blended.

Spoon the mixture over the chicken breasts until well covered. (it should be enough to completely and evenly cover all the chicken in the baking dish.) Season with pepper to taste.

Bake at 250 degrees for 3 hours.

Best served with rice.

It is easy and delicious but very rich and as you can tell loaded with cholesterol. I only make it 2 or 3 times a year, and everyone that has tried it loves it. If any of you make it, let me know your opinion!

Bon apetit'!

Yep! I double checked to be sure. I guess it's needed to cook the chicken and bacon thoroughly. I usually stir the "gravy" about halfway through. I did make a boo boo on the temperature though, it's 225 degrees. Sorry, but I haven't made this since last fall; I guess I am a bit rusty. It is yummy yummy good !

How large a can of soup? They come as big as a big juice can. Sorry to be a pest.

I'm going to try this one. Hours of cooking is great in the cold weather! Maybe a new comfort food, it sounds delicious

Warlady, I think you would call it a "family size" can. Don't worry if you have too much, it's when you don't have enough that's bad! lol
