"The classifieds forum is for members to place links to their web site, to post your resume', to sell your wares or post links to stuff for sale."

OK.

Clint this is the company I work for. Try doing a job search here. You have some great quailfications for either computer departments or field service.

I've looked at all of the jobs back to April 8th, and saved a few...

I hope to continue to look through the rest of the 133.

When I send my resume, should I say that "tacitus" referred me?

LOL I don't think that would help you much, then neither would my real name. I know for fact we are in the hunt for a person at the University of Kentucky to administer our biomedical asset management program. If you are interested, let me know via PM.

I didn't find a decent job.
:(

That temp-to-permanent position was very poorly described when I took it. :(

Doh!

Oh well. I have another job interview tomorrow.

I found a job!!!!!! (grin)

Hurray!!!!

Thanks to everyone who helped here at FC!!!! This has been a very helpful forum! :)

Special thanks to Tacitus and Desertfox.

Special thanks to the writer of "What Color is your Parachute" which PeachDiane called her "uncle's book," as I recall.

Special thanks to the company for which Tacitus works! I wish that I could have repayed your company for their time and consideration by serving them as an employee, Tac; but, I got a rejection letter for the job for which I applied. They said something about me being overqualified. I didn't have time to wait on another position because I was running out of money. :( (sad) I accepted a job offer today with another company. :) They offered me a job at the second interview (both in about 2 days), and I just couldn't seem to pass it up with the state of my bank account. Thanks again to your company for the time and consideration, just the same! :) (smile)

Hurray! I'm off to celebrate, write thank-you notes, and prepare for my new job! :)

Well, an employment agent gave me some advice the other day on why I'm having trouble finding work.

She said that I'm too intimidating. She says that people look at me, and fear that I will take their job if they hire me. I suspected as much with all of the "overqualified" rejections, and the look on people's faces when they saw my resume.

She says that I should dress down and try to hide some of my qualifications. I guess that I'll try that. It makes sense. I got one of my best jobs after going into the interview with greasy fingers from working on maintenance all night before the interview.

I'm not good at hiding and deception, though, I think. Maybe this will teach me how to hide stuff without being deceptive...
