My grandmother used to make this, but I have no idea what it was called:
Dice and brown 1/2 lb. bacon. Add 2 lbs. hamburger meat, 1 T. chili powder and salt to taste. Brown until done and drain grease. Add 1 medium chopped onion, 1 cup celery, and 1 cup chopped green pepper.
Make a layer of the above in teh bottom of a large baking pan and sprinkle with flour. (just a light layer...sorry, no quantity, but I would guesstimate about 2 T. each time)
Add 1 can english peas (if you can't find, use snap peas or pea pods) sprinkle w/ flour.
Add 1 regular size can tomatoes (juice included) sprinkle w/ flour.
Add 1 pkg. (layer) of narrow cooked noodles
Add 1 large can mushrooms (sprinkle w/ flour)
Add 1 small can parmesan cheese
Top with a layer of buttered bread crumbs
Bake 1 hour in 350 oven. As you can tell this is an old recipe and no precise measurements. I'm sure it will come out yummy, no matter what!
