I apologize if this has already been covered. I made a cursory check and couldn't find the topic.

The tests are being used to combat the real problem of teen drug use. The tests are not overly invasive and the students expect less privacy than they would receive in other places. Therefore, I believe that the drug testing mentioned here does not violate the 4th Amendment's ban on unreasonable searches.
