--"CAT PHYSICS" -

Any of you remember studying the different "laws" in Physics class? These laws are much more interesting and relevant to my daily life with cats, plus you don't have to memorize them, you live and experience them everyday. See if you agree.

--Law of Inertia:
A cat at rest will tend to remain at rest, unless acted upon by some outside force, such as the opening of a cat food can.

--Law of Thermodynamics:
Heat flows from a warmer to a cooler body, except in the case of a cat, in which all heat flows to the cat.

--Law of Dinner Table Attendance:
Cats must attend all meals when anything good is served.

--Law of Cat Magnetism:
All black sweaters and blue blazers attract cat hair in direct proportion to the darkness of the fabric.

--Law of Rug Configuration:
No rug may remain in its naturally flat state for very long.

--First Law of Energy Conservation:
Cats know that energy is neither created nor destroyed and will, therefore, use as little of it as possible.

--Second Law of Energy Conservation:
Cats also know that energy can only be stored by a lot of napping.

--Law of Random Comfort Seeking:
A cat will always seek, and usually take over, the most comfortable spot in any given room.

--Law of Bag and Box Occupancy:
All bags and boxes in a given room must contain a cat within the earliest possible nanosecond.

--The Law of Furniture Replacement:
A cat's desire to scratch the furniture is directly proportional to the cost of the furniture.

--Law of Cat Elongation:
A cat can make her body long enough to reach just about any countertop that has anything remotely interesting on it.

Don't forget no matter what barriers you put up to keep them away from unwanted places simply don't work. Cats will defy gravity and miraculously fly over it.

ROTFL. Yes, we have the example of a flying Smokey Cat demonstrating that on my desk, not once but several times.

A cat's interest in playing with an object rises in direct proportion to the object's fragility times its cost.

A cat's disinterest in cat food is inversely proportional to the cat food's cost.

Humans who just get out of bed in the morning must be personally and noisily escorted directly to the cat dish.

There was a story that went with that pic going around the net a couple of years ago about someone with a southern accent taking there cat to the groomer wanting a line cut and the groomer thought that the person said a lion cut. That cat looks totally pissed.

That may be the most hilarious picture I've ever seen. And the cat acting like he intended to look that way all along.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

That really is a great pic!! My daughter lived in an apartment and couldn't keep her cats for a few weeks. We kept them and they taught our cats how to open all the cabinet doors!! It was kind of cute at first but trying to keep toilet paper out of their reach is not an easy task anymore!! They are so deliberate and they know EXACTLY what they are doing. My girlfriend taught her cat to go potty on the toilet. She quit and went back to a litter box when every time she got in the bath tub the cat would get on the toilet and make concerted faces at her!
