The Detroit prosecutor handling the prosecution of Tarajee Maynor is appealing the judge's reduction of the charges against her.

You'll recall Tarajee. She's the vicious moron who baked her 2 kids in the hot car she parked in a remote area of a parking lot while she spent 4 hours in a beauty salon.

She's pregnant.

The judge reduced the original charge of felony murder to involuntary manslaughter, stating (without a trial having taken place) that the defendant had no intention to harm her children. MI law requires only that the defendant know the act was wrong when committed, but not that he understand the potential consequences of the act in order to sustain a felony murder charge, the prosecutor explained.

The prosecutor seemed hopeful of a favorable outcome, according to his interview on O'Reilly tonight.

I wish him good luck.

I saw that too, Venus! And, the other guest called Ms. Maynor "dumb as a plant." Well, I would think someone who did this to her children is as dumb as a plant. I do not think this crime would be something someone would have to really think out either, I mean, drive them there, get out and leave them. Simple. However, I would be curious to know if she locked the door. That would point to premeditation.

Regardless, I wish the prosecutor luck too. More states need that law because I'm sick of the laws favoring the criminal instead of the victim.

Harvick, I don't think locking the door would prove or even point to pre-meditation. If we accept for a moment that it's okay to leave kids in a car unattended, locking unattended kids in a car is arguably safer than not locking them in.

Further, leaving the door unlocked so that somebody could rescue the kids would emphasize that she knew that leaving them in the car was potentially dangerous.

The other 'guest' was a defense attorney. The reason she said the defendant is dumb as a plant is because that will be the new theme for most criminal defendants, as the effluvium from the USSC decision that retarded defendants are too stupid to be sentenced to death.

As was stated, premeditation is not a factor anyway. But, I was just trying to determine what the woman was thinking, or not thinking.

I don't know if it is safer to leave children in a locked or unlocked car. I would certainly say I would not do either one although I have been left in an unlocked running vehicle when I was a child.

I thought the show stated that she parked the car in a remote area?

It was also pointed out that she left the salon to get a snack out of a machine. No doubt she's an idiot. Now, a muderous idiot!

Yes, the prosecutor said she parked in a remote area of the lot.

I'm not convinced she didn't do it deliberately.

That judge's decision seems outrageous. There's been no trial!!! I sure hope the prosecutor prevails.

This one really sickens me. Thinking or not thinking, who gives a shit. She is guilty as the day is long. The result of her actions or inactions meant death for two innocent children.

Most women have natural intincts, where were hers? I can't believe for one minute that a mother dosen't think of her children at least 4 times an hour whether they are with her or not. She was thinking well enough to satisfy her hunger and thirst. I think of my child every time I eat (are they hungry?). Something should have clicked there.

I don't care if she is insane, stupid, or drugged out of her mind--she murdered two children--her own. images/icons/mad.gif
