Not Really Goulash
My mom always called this goulash, but it is not truly goulash in the truest sense of the word. Anyway, it's still good on a cold day.
2 lbs. ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 green bell pepper
2 cloves mince garlic or 1 tsp. garlic powder
1 lg. (32oz?) can V-8 juice
1 16 oz can ranch beans (or kidney beans)
2 celery stalks, finely chopped
1 10oz. pkg macaroni, cooked according to package directions.
1 can stewed tomatoes
1/2 tsp. red pepper
Brown ground beef with onion, garlic, celery, and bell pepper. Salt and pepper to taste. Drain grease. Add ranch or kidney beans with juice. Add all remaining ingredients. Cook until heated through. Serve with bread and butter.
