Developing... Their resignations will be effective June 30th. Rehnquist cites health problems. Scalia and Thomas cite an out-of-control majority's desire to base all constitutional decisions on foreign law and policy. President Bush will comment on the justices' decision at a special 6:15 PM press conference. Lower court judges are being contacted as we speak to see if they will consider filling the vacancies.

Thomas, you scalawag, you pushed it over the edge by listing all THREE conservatives on the SCOTUS -- If you'd have stuck with Renquist and Scalia, you MIGHT have gotten away with it (with me :D ).

I already got got in another thread -- I just wanted to see who else got got.

A somewhat bizarre custom in America. A day of "Tom foolery" and practical jokes. I agree with Homeschoolsareus, Far more believable if one were claimed to resign....maybe even a second one, but three was a little ham handed.

The cherished FC Toaster Oven is not unique to Unk, although most recipients don't mention it for fear of inciting fits of uncontrollable envy.

I use mine often and with appropriate reverence.

I am so very, very sorry Doc, please forgive my insolence at attempting to correct you, Oh Wise One. :worshippy (http://www.freeconservatives.com/vb/misc.php?do=getsmilies&wysiwyg=1&forumid=9#) Have mercy upon me, a humble Freecer .... and please don't send the goons!! Please, I beg of you, don't send the goons!!! Oh, and please don't force me to eat copious amounts of chocolate, force me to enjoy luxurious bubble baths, or get me a babysitter for the bubba-kins -- that would just be cruel and unusual punishment and I would have to contact the ACLU! You CAN banish me to the briar patch, though :D

(I still want the gold and top hat, though :thumb: )

Oh yeah ... and how'd I end up with a measly popcorn-popper when everybody else gets toaster ovens???

Then those things SHALL be done, after which you shall be forced to sit in.... *LOUD, STRIDENT CHORD*... the Comfy Chair.

I, Brer Fox, have spoken. Make it so, Brer Bear!

HAHAHAHAHA (I'm so EEEEEE-vill that i scare even myself)!!!! <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v349/DocDoom777/evilgrin.gif" />

I still don't understand why they are stepping down, Thomas?

April Fool's Day, Czech. It's celebrated in some European countries, too. It comes from those who, after the New Style Gregorian calendar was adopted, wanted to continue to use the Old Style Julian calendar, which started the New Year with the spring equinox, which was in late March. Those who still hadn't got it into their heads that March 23 or whenever was not the beginning of the New Year by the first of April were called April Fools--or something along those lines.

Now we just play practical jokes--and call such idiots liberal Democrats.

Happy liberal Democrats' day!:D

Laughing uncontrollably at Doc and HS. Doc could you please sentence me to 5 hours in the hot tub?

Doom

I realize that he was bad but Taking away his Toaster? Dont you think that is a bit extreme. I mean after all it takes hard work to get the Coveted Toaster Oven

Maybe we should just force him to listen to six hours of the Reverand Jesse Jackson

I realize that he was bad but Taking away his Toaster?Yes, it IS too extreme. However, we shall install a plug lock for ten days. Drastic offenses mandate drastic responses, even so.

Doc could you please sentence me to 5 hours in the hot tub?I'm aware of the attempt to use reverse psychology on me. You say you want 5 hours in the hot tub, but I, being incredibly clever, know that you really don't want it, and therefore... the sentence shall be the full 5 hours. HAHAHAHAH! No one fools the Spanish Inquisition.
