No, not the Bible segment. The new TV miniseries that's airing April 13 on NBC based on the Bible.
I'd LOVE to watch it, but I'm so afraid they'll botch it (as in politically-correct screw it up). I've heard mixed reviews.
Any thoughts?

You're probably right. Witness the comments (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0403795/board/nest/16704069) from IMDB.
I'll watch. Bill Pullman is easy on the eyes. ;) :p

I saw a couple of commercials for it too ... I'll be watching. Long as it isn't blasphemous, anyway. I was intrigued by the trailers, and I too, like Bill Pullman (he was great as the Prez in Independence Day!). Anyhoo, guess we'll see soon, eh? Wonder if it will rival the reviews and attention of LOST?

You all pretty much share my view. I'll see it too. And Hollywack had better not pull another anti-religious crapola on me!

I watched most of it. I was less than impressed. The Acting was good, the plot intresting if a bit convuluted. It did not seem very scriptualy based to me.

You know that it is messed up and not Scripturally correct in the first place, as they can't even, unless it's intentional, get the name right. The book of the Bible is titled "Revelation." It is called "Revelations" by people who don't know better and by those who do and should know better. So far it's sort of interesting, but it won't be anything more than a tool to convince us that the Bible is not valid, but I know the Truth as do many of us on this forum.

I thought it was very interesting. I didn't see anything, at first episode, that was blatantly blasphemous or overtly derogatory to people of faith. It was very much like a visual novel, to me. It was dark, possibly a little too dark. A little confusing, but all good fiction tries intrigue as a hook with which to bait the fish. I liked it enough NOT to watch the reveal episode of American Idol (only the last few minutes to see who got kicked off).
Of course this entire monologue must be written with the disclaimer that I couldn't follow REAL closely the episode, as we were in the middle of phone calls (from and to relatives) about my son's new job, new truck, and college interview.
I'm curious how it will continue to play out. It seems like a darker twisted LOST take-off ... not verbatim or literal, just in feel and mood. I don't know if 9pm Wednesday's will be the time slot, but it works for me ... I do NOT want it to go up against LOST. In that case, it will have (lost me as a viewer).

OK I watched parts 4-6 last night (Friday May 20) There was a 6 part marathon on Bravo last night. I was kinda/sorta interested (funny what I will watch when it gets hot outside in OKlahoma!) but the ending was SO lame it made me wonder if it was a vehicle to start a regular series on TV, anyone know?

I refuse to watch anything fictionalizing the bible. thats what this show will do. Not on my list.

Yes. The miniseries was a pilot. That's why it was inconclusive.
