Took my oldest daughter out to McKinney tonight to see the Hitchhikers guide. On a scale of one to ten it was a solid 2. Perhaps the problem was that I had read the books and enjoyed them. It came across as a very badly done British Sci Fi Television Series from the late 60's. Same quality as the Tommorrow People or Dwarf Star.

A Real disapointment, I would not recommend this movie to anyone.

Thanks Unk, I had a feeling it would be all special effects, no plot, and very little from the books to be recognized.

Still waiting for Star Wars, The Pink Panther (remake), and the next Bond flick. (Don't think we'll EVER get another Star Trek movie, < sigh > )

Kingdom of Heaven is where it's at, I can't wait to see that.

From the previews it seemed Red-Dwarf-ish, made me want to see it. But I keep hearing how horrible it is.
