Anyone else here besides me build them? I finishing a 3 ship kit that includes a Romulan Warbird, Ferengi Marauder and a Klingon Bird of Prey. I'm having fun too!
I have several kits to build up, to include Deep Space 9 and a model of the USS Reliant that I'm custom building a light kit. Just wanted to see if anyone else is building this kinda stuff.

Beo,
That sounds SO cool! You simply MUST take some pics and post them here, I would love to see them. Where do you get them from? I don't think I have ever seen any Star Trek models -- action figures, yes, but not model ships or so forth. My dad used to make train models, and I have built a couple of car and plane models with him when I was little. I bet I would really enjoy the Star Trek models -- think li'l Bubba would too!
Do please post pics if you get a chance, Beo!

AMT/Ertyl used to make all the Trek models but haven't done so in many years. You can find them now on Ebay, which is where I have acquired most of mine. Occasionally, I find a hobby shop that sells them. I found two such shops near my mother.
So far, I have built but packed away:
-USS Defiant (from Deep Space 9)
-Vor'cha Klingon Battlecruiser
In work:
-3 piece Adversary set which includes a Ferengi Marauder, Klingon Bird of Prey and a Romulan Warbird.
-USS Reliant. I'm customizing this with a light kit that I'm making from scratch. FYI, this was the ship the Khan used in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.
In the box, awaiting construction:
-Cardassian Galor
-Deep Space 9
Yes, I plan to build more.

And on the pictures, I don't own a digital camera. I'm from the old school! I believe in my 35MM (the quality is so much better).
But, I do have disks printed when I get things developed. It may take some time but we'll see.

Used to. A long time ago when I was a young lad....which, considering I'm 19, wasn't so long ago. Actually, I'd pick out the model, my dad would buy it and build it, and I'd watch him, and occasionally paint large sections that weren't detail oriented. Then I'd break the model and he'd have to put it back together. It was a viscious cycle. Thus the lesson for today is, never allow five year olds around anything breakable.

I really enjoyed that DS9 show. Voyager, not so much.

Voyager sucked until 7 of 9 came along.
