I finally decided to self-publish A Bad Feeling. It is available at www.lulu.com (http://www.lulu.com/). You can search by title if you don't want to click the button below.
For every PRINTED copy of the book purchased, I will offer a free autograph. You just need to pay shipping. I will also donate 50% of my royalty to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation on behalf of my nephew Timmy.

Just a typical family enjoying a traditional Thanksgiving weekend. Relatives visiting from out-of-town, lots of fun, turkey and all the trimmings, football...wait a minute, did I mention the monsters? Yep, just a typical family get-together, well, except for the "monster" part. Join the Hooks family's desperate attempt to survive despite events which, once set in motion, can't be stopped. Twist and turn through the long weekend's non-stop thrills and chills as a dark plot unfolds to use the Texas town of Horton as a testing ground. "A Bad Feeling" is a thriller that will keep you turning pages long through the night, and double-checking your locks before you go to bed.
If you buy it, regardless of medium, please do me a favor and rate it at the site.
I'm still not real sure of whether I have the muse or not, and it is a PAIN IN THE BUTT to write a book. Especially with Mrs Lobo as my editor.
http://www.lulu.com/content/129818 It's working now.

"You have probably already considered self-publishing through a company such as lulu.com, right?"
Congratulations!

Yes, I remembered my friend, and I thank you for turning me on to it.
For a fact, I spent the last two weeks researching, logging in, and checking out close to fifty different self publishing sites. I now have more junk mail than I will ever be able to handle. In all those sites, lulu is the ONLY one that doesn't want money from you until you byu the ISBN from them. (which I will do payday). In the meantime, I have had a BUNCH of folks asking me about the book via e-mail, so I got it formatted, edited, formatted again, edited again, formatted again, edited again (Mrs Lobo is a SLAVE DRIVER), and I still need to add a comma or two here and there.
Thanks Clint, and if the cash starts pouring in, I will do what I can to help.
Regards,
Lobo

If anyone has purchased a copy of the book yet, let me know. I will need to replace it.
There was a technical glitch, known as "Loboscrewedup".
(NOTE TO SELF: PUT DRAFT IN FRONT OF ALL DRAFTS OF THE STORY)

I've ordered my ISBN number and they are printing a galley proof for me for approval.
That means my book will hit Bowker's and Ingram's book in print list.
Coming to a Wal-Mart near you. WOOOHOOOO!!!!
For real though, it will be available at every on-line book retailer in the country. BUT if you order it from LULU, you will save a bit of cash.

Congrats, Brother Lobo... I have wanted to write some fiction for a while but cant seem to get the engine started in my head...
Stephen King has something interesting to say about that (while I'm not claiming to be in his league). He says that people tell him all the time that they want to be a writer. He says, "Well then, write."
I complain about the amount of work it is, but it beats the hell out of having a real job.
When the muse has left, what I do is go outside and look at the stars. If it's summer time I can stand out there for long periods, just gazing at the stars and letting the thoughts come.
If it's winter, I realize I am freezing my butt off, and come back and make myself write.
When I wrote the book, I didn't know what was going to happen next. Someone in the book died, and Mrs Lobo asked me why. I told her I don't know. I didn't do it, they just died. It's hard to explain, but I don't always control the muse. It just comes out, and makes for a pretty good chapter or two.
Find some quiet time, and have at it.
Meanwhile, buy my book. It's cheap. ;)
Edited to add: Mrs Lobo said that I wasn't real clear in the above. You can't star the engine, it's got to start by itself. I can only write when the muse is working. It can't be forced. If you do, it comes out in the writing, and sounds phoney.

Groovy? Hey, I'm hip to that dude. :) :)
Thanks Al. Do me a favor and let me know when you get it, and if you like it. I want to make sure there aren't any problems at Lulu's end of the deal, I also want to make sure that there aren't any problems at my end either. ;)

Thanks sweetie. With some luck and the Lord's blessings, we should be able to get out of here pretty soon. If we can find out when "Manatee watching season" is down by Homes' place, we're gonna head over there for a while. We'll probably swing up through the northern part of LA, MS, and AL. (I hate interstates). We'll let you know when we're doing it, and if you're close to that area, we'll call you and drop by (obviously some arrangements and confirmed dates will have to be set). If that doesn't work for you, you can always send it to my mailing address, I'll sign it and send it back.
Let me know.

Ah nuts PD, I forgot you're in Illinois now. I feel like a doink.
We'll work out how you can send it here and I'll sign it (you need to spring for postage both ways).
Let me know.

Lobo, that's ok! Not sure where I am really! :p I'll be in Atlanta June 9. Either Texas around end of June (for rodeo) or Birmingham (Def Leppard) and back to Atlanta first week of July. Safe travels, you hear! :patriot:

I've just published a short story e-book, called Getting Away With Murder.
It's free to download. It's an update of the first short story I ever wrote back in 1978.
