OK I took then kiddos to see it tonight, we loved it! Lots better than ROBOTS. Great animation, and lots of clever double ententre, fun for Mom but flew right over kiddos' heads. If you need a safe movie for children go for it. Starts a little slow but gets better and better.

Thanks for the review. My daughter has been bugging me to see this movie all week, but it requires a 125 mile roundtrip drive to the theater and I didn't want to go if we could stand to wait until it was out on DVD. I will make the trip if it is worth it and this sounds like it would be great. Thanks again!!

Wow Antigone ya got me beat. I can go to a little two screen theater for a 50 mile round trip, the bigger theater is 85 mile round trip. We pick our movies carefully.

Living rural stinks!! LOL! We have a movie theater in town which would be a 30 mile trip but they only show one movie a week for 4 days (Th-S) and we don't get every movie that is put out during the year. That is why we saw only 2 movies during all of last year. :-)

We drive to McKinney to go to the movies, about 40 miles from our house, but we are movie addicts so we dont mind the drive.

LOL!!!!
As for distance, movies (not shown in town) play in Chicago (2 hours away) or Madison (Hour and half). I don't mind it as I love drives.

I loved it. Me and my friend saw it opening night. We were with a theater filled with mostly adults...I laughed so hard I nearly pissed my pants. I loved the "this side of the island" jokes. "You're on the Jersey side!" that was funny.

Hate to rain on the parade . . . but what the hell. While kids will love it, I thought it was long on some pretty nifty animation, but short on story, with dialogue that was considerably less funny and clever than the writers obviously thought them to be. This movie's reputation and its box office are much to big for this mediocrity. Yawn.
On the other hand, it's better than Robots.
