Oh well...I was at Normandy last year for the 60th anniversary. Very moving...

Man-o-man I GOTTA get off this graveyard shift..........today is the 5th of June
TOMORROW is D-Day.........but I hope this will serve as a prod to those that may be inclined to miss it! Thanks GI Jane! Wish I coulda been there at Omaha beach for the 60th.

Oh well...I was at Normandy last year for the 60th anniversary. Very moving...
I visited there twice that day on my first two bombing missions.
It was a mess.
My uncle Glen was there at Normandy, he was on the ships off the coast pounding the inland with shells.
My dad on the other hand was in the 'African/Middle Eastern campaigns'.
Both are deceased.

You have my respect. What measure of a man you must be, to have done what so many have only discussed. You are one of the remaining few of that era. A national treasure indeed.
