The Chinese Empire Threatens the World

Charles R. Smith
Monday, June 13, 2005 Red Dragon Myth and Fact

The first and most dangerous myth about China is that it is the sworn enemy of the West. The Chinese people are not the enemy.

The hundreds of millions of peasants in the rice paddies and the working poor in the inner-city slums of China are neither evil nor bent on world domination. They survive day to day under the thumb of corrupt officials, powerful communist dictators and greedy warlords.

They look to the United States for freedom. They hope, like many who died in Tiananmen Square, to set up a freely elected, democratic government. They want to build a better world for their sons and daughters in the future. The real bad guys in China are limited to a few but very powerful elite. The Communist Party and the commanders of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) rule China with an iron fist.

I agree. The little as*holes whom we call our public servants in cahoots with the Chinese as*holes are making it difficult for real Americans and the freedom-loving Chinese nationals. We can thank Slick Willie for that scam.

Your day will come. I mean you, you Chinese ass-kissing slimeballs out there. Take these words to heart. Get ready for retirement and a sleazy legacy.<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

My Great Grandfather (on my mother's side) knew long ago that China would become a threat to America and possibly the world.

The part about that article that scares me is "they look to the United States for freedom". I truly hope that the US doesn't try to 'liberate' them as it 'liberated' Iraq. That would start world war 3.

I agree that the US needs to stop supporting China, as do all governments, until China reforms and learns to treat its people right. In the mean time, it is up to the Chinese people to rise up and taken down the corrupt regime.

Modern technology makes it impossible to overcome an entrenched, determined govt from within. Outside help will be necessary to free N. Korea, as Iraq and Afghanistan. China may be a different case. Her leaders don't seem to recognize that it was modernity that defeated the Soviet Union. The further into modernity they progress, the greater the danger to the govt. We can only applaud.
