:moo: We are thrilled with our decision to move to the panhandle. We went to Dalhart this morning, to see the annual XIT Rodeo Parade. Xane collected a whole plastic shopping bag full of candy, that ought to last him until Thanxgiving (thus precluding the need for Halloween, which we don't believe in, anyway). Later on, in the afternoon, there was a large FREE barbecue, provided courtesy of local businesses. We didn't even mind waiting in the sun, since the lines moved fast, & it's not even that hot here.
:moo: Oh, one more thing. If anyone needs a good laugh, go to Members Lounge, & look for the thread, "Everybody Who Has Posted to This Thread Is a Winner". Some of the posts there are a real hoot.

2. How much money would it take to get you to ride a bull? Not going to do it...nope...never
3. If you were forced to say something nice about a democrat/liberal, what would you say? Depends on who it is. I work with some nice liberals. They have misguided ideas...but generally they are nice people. Not like the trolls on here

1. Have you ever been to a rodeo?
Yes, in fact, for my son's first birthday we went to the HUGE rodeo in Kississimmee, FL. It was so much fun. With my daughter riding horses, we go to them just to see the horses some times. My husband used to rodeo with his dad -- he did barrel racing, calf roping, and occasionally team roping, his dad was a VERY good headin'n'heelin' roper, and won several events at the rodeos he would participate in.
2. How much money would it take to get you to ride a bull?
If we are talking like for a charity or something, I would do it. I would probably do something like that (IF I had complete and total protective gear). I can't see an occasion other than a charity function that I would do it.
3. If you were forced to say something nice about a democrat/liberal, what would you say?
The average, everyday, run-of-the-mill liberal that I come in contact with genuinely feel compassion for their fellow man, and I really believe that. (They just don't know how to successfully put that compassion to work, they think giving money is equal to teaching people how to be successful, equipping them, and allowing them to do it themselves.)
4. Who would you rather have dinner with, Rush Limbaugh, or Bill Maher?
Well, to be truthful, I would have to say both. I would LOVE to share a meal with Mr. Limbaugh so I could pick his brain and compare information. I would ALSO like to have dinner with Bill Maher so I could PROVE to him we Christians aren't as bad as he thinks we are, and we are nothing to fear.
5. In how many different states do your relatives live?
Sadly, I don't know who my relatives are (adopted). I do know that most all of my relatives on my adoptive family's side all reside here in Florida. I think I have a cousin in Georgia.
6. What is your favorite article of clothing?
My "I Bee -lieve in Jesus" T-Shirt -- the words are done in navy blue scroll work, with little bees and beehives all over and little dashes indicating the bees flying through the letters of the words.

7. Do you have a pushing mower, riding mower, or no mower?
A pushing AND a riding lawn mower -- they belong to Bubba, not me, though :smirky:
8. Do you ever watch the History Channel?
Yes! History's Mysteries and Modern Marvels are a couple of our favorites, along with R. Lee Ermey's Mail Call.<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

1. Have you ever been to a rodeo?
:moo: No, but I'd like to.
2. How much money would it take to get you to ride a bull?
:moo: However much a Hummer costs.
3. If you were forced to say something nice about a democrat/liberal, what would you say?
:moo: Nice shoes!
4. Who would you rather have dinner with, Rush Limbaugh, or Bill Maher?
:moo: Rush Limbaugh; it'd be easiër to digest my food, if I wasn't talking to an idiot.
5. In how many different states do your relatives live?
:moo: One.
6. What is your favorite article of clothing?
:moo: Probably several. I have a T-shirt with an exaggeratedly muscular Longhorn dressed like a cowboy. Teeny-tiny wasteline, big biceps, huge legs, & gargantuan chest. Silly grin on his face. I also like my bikini underwear.
7. Do you have a pushing mower, riding mower, or no mower?
:moo: I don't even have lawn.
8. Do you ever watch the History Channel?
:smirky: Yes, but they spend too much time documenting war. It ought to be called the War Channel. Somebody needs to tell them that there's more to history than just war.
1. Have you ever been to a rodeo? Yes, a couple of them. And actually, I loved it! The atmosphere is awesome and different to a city chick like me.
2. How much money would it take to get you to ride a bull? I don't think I would need paid to do that, just some training. Sorta like skydiving or bungee jumping. Just let me know what to do in an emergency, give me some basic instruction, and I am all for it !
3. If you were forced to say something nice about a democrat/liberal, what would you say? The odd dude who sits across from me at work is a liberal who supports the war. So to him I would say "thank you for supporting the troops and the Iraq presence." To other liberals, they sometimes are nice to have lunch with.
4. Who would you rather have dinner with, Rush Limbaugh, or Bill Maher? Of course Rush is my choice.
5. In how many different states do your relatives live? After the recent weekend family reunion of around 350 people, I realized that my relatives come from about 8 states to gather for these events. Ahh the die-hard Irish Catholics.
6. What is your favorite article of clothing? My Notre Dame sweatshirt. Which is getting so worn. Of course I wear it with my UK sweatpants. I am sooo looking forward to football season!!
7. Do you have a pushing mower, riding mower, or no mower? I have a push mower. Haven't had to push it much this year though, so dry...no rain=no mowing.
8. Do you ever watch the History Channel? Not much, although I have heard great things about it. I don't watch much at all during the summer. I don't computer much either. Once the winter comes, I shall catch up with such things..
