Oh, and no laughing :)

Suzie could you help me out? I am using Irfan view, what Doc recomended, but I am having trouble getting the profile picture (of me and my friend sarah, it's already posted) bigger, even thought its at 150 X 200. Is there anyway I can get it bigger like yours, if I decrease the quaility or somthing?

Oh no, it's posted, it's just super small. I was wondering if you knew anyway to make it bigger using IrfanView or somthing along those lines, your pic is the same dimensions as mine I am guessing but it's a lot bigger, how did you do it? Thanks for the help btw.:smirky:

Teenager

Czech, if you have Adobe Photoshop, then this should be easy.

(1) Open Adobe.
(2) Click on the "Advanced" button to the left.
(3) Click on the Size tab up top.
(4) Click photo size
(5) Choose your dimensions

Hope that helps. I haven't figured out how to do that on IrFanView yet.

In Irfanview:

Go to Image Tab --> Resize/Resample

Select a new size or percentage of increase or decrease from the many options, and click "OK". Then go to File --> Save (or Save As)

That should work for ya!

I have long, thick, straight hair -- board straight. I have had several perms, but they ALL have fallen within two weeks. I use heat-curlers (on special occasions), and it looks GREAT when I walk out the door . . . for all of about 10 minutes, then it's straight again. The ONLY time I've been able to keep it half-way decent was my high school senior picture (even then, only the ends stayed curled, the top was flat and straught) and the pic I posted here (glamor shot down with my mom & daughter). Here they are both again, and I'll put the one in with my Mom & daughter, not just me alone.

I used to have curly hair. When I was a little kid I would always have curly hair and everyone said it looked cute, but I didnt like it. I always straighten it now. I like straight hair. I did hate them when I was in HS and every other girl had straight beautiful hair. No much I tried, I could never straighten it. Now I have come to love my ringlets and appreciate them. They are part of who I am.

It has been so many years since I dated to which I don't remember anyone making such comments from back then. But the department I work in has a frat boy atmosphere...

Every time they make a comment like such or even less like such (not even about me), they will test my reaction as to whether I am about to file a harrassment charge..LOL. Almost every day that happens. By now I am sure they realize that I have heard worse while in college.

Speaking of hair getting more curly or wavy in the humidity, mine sometimes gets so bad that my co-workers will call me "Crusty", as in Crusty the Clown on the Simpsons. I don't find it the least bit humorous. The guys don't know when to stop. Now I get it cut really short with the electric clippers, the closest thing to having it shaved without actually having it shaved.

http://w3.gorge.net/rink/PiggieandRink.JPG

My hair is barely seen here with the dark background, but its VERY long and its intensely thick and heavy, to put it up in a bun I just twist it up and around then poke the ends up inside and yes it'll stay WITHOUT pins of any sort.

My sweetie just Loves my long hair http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/emoticons7/8.gif

The inferno rage is the easiest of my creatures to model, but he can also look pretty cool anyway. His origin is from my comic series Phantom Wolf.

Hey! I'm looking into making a game to, it's called Apocolypse Command. I'm already starting to make all it's models and story line, and have planned out much of the game play, what I really need is a programer. Maybe we could help eachother.

Now we just need to get Doc to show his face!Due to federally mandated regulations re the transmission of ugly photos on the Web, that request cannot be honored (or in the UK, honoured).

I thought about that DD. Actually we have been doing it (at our own expense) for over 10 years now. I thank God I live in a town with mostly Christians and everyone seems to enjoy it each year. Of course I know there will come a day when I will have to fight some atheist jerk in court to keep doing it, but I will fight. I have done it before and will do it again and again no matter how many times I must.

Just a side note about putting up a manger scene in your town. If the town puts up any Christmas decorations at all, you have the right to put yours up too. If they give you trouble contact ACLJ

Most times they will take your case and charge you nothing.

Unfortunately all the pictures they took of her in the U-2 didn't come out. She's a retired Air Force Chief Master Sergeant, by the way. I'm a retired Master Sergeant. Maybe being the operative word here. I don't like posting my picture. Is that the one with or without the black lab? Either way, I'm not sure I still have it. I lost a lot of stuff in that system crash a couple of years back, if you recall. And I can't take a new one cuz the camera lens cracks every time I try.

I lost that cartoon with Sam beating the dead horse in the same crash, and I really wanted to keep that one!!!!

And I agree. 3 boys are 8, 9, and 10. The eldest is "too old" for PDAs he says, but the half pint loves to come and give hugs and kisses.

Di...our 8 year olds are too much alike!!! Mine is exactly like that. The little guy even waves from the bus window every morning after he gets on :) (I take him to the bus stop in my car and then sit there till he gets on the bus....I am so overprotective sometimes) And the thing with the drinks....exactly the same!!:hahaha:

Little princess is also crafty hahah I think all youngings are... Mom will tell her to do something, be practically yelling and I'll look over and say Honey, for brutter, please.. Oh Ok brutter and mom just gives me this look of frustration.. I'll never have children of my own so I live by carelessly through her... It's difficult because we live quite a distance apart, especially when she says, "Brutter, I miss you!" Just tears me inside :-/

Yup -- we were in Georgia on our honeymoon, and had that picture made. It didn't upload well, I don't know why it's so fuzzy. I was afraid to make it bigger. Perhaps someone more computer-talented might help me fix it where it is clearer. It's not really all THAT faded and out of focus, and is actually one of the few pictures of Bubba and I that I like. I'll see if I can find one of the other ones, and try it.

Techno, not overprotective at all!

I do feel "bad" for when she gets older and starts dating... Nothing worse than having an over protective father but what about a 34 yr old brother whose just the same

Ah I see... you're gonna give any potential date these rules carved in stone:

Rule One: If you pull into my driveway and honk you'd better be delivering a package, because you're sure not picking anything up.

Rule Two: You do not touch my sister in front of me. You may glance at her, so long as you do not peer at anything below her neck. If you cannot keep your eyes or hands off of her body, I will remove them.

Rule Three: I am aware that it is considered fashionable for boys of your age to wear their trousers so loosely that they appear to be falling off their hips. Please don't take this as an insult, but you and all of your friends are complete idiots. Still, I want to be fair and open minded about this issue, so I propose this compromise: You may come to the door with your underwear showing and your pants ten sizes too big, and I will not object. However, In order to assure that your clothes do not, in fact, come off during the course of your date with my sister, I will take my electric staple gun and fasten your trousers securely in place around your waist.

Rule Four: I'm sure you've been told that in today's world, sex without utilizing a "barrier method" of some kind can kill you. Let me elaborate: when it comes to sex, I am the barrier, and I WILL kill you.

Rule Five: In order for us to get to know each other, we should talk about sports, politics, and other issues of the day. Please do not do this. The only information I require from you is an indication of when you expect to have my sister safely back at my house, and the only word I need from you on this subject is "early."

Rule Six: I have no doubt you are a popular fellow, with many opportunities to date other girls. This is fine with me as long as it is okay with my sister. Otherwise, once you have gone out her, you will continue to date no one but her until she is finished with you. If you make her cry, I will make YOU cry.

Rule Seven: As you stand in my front hallway, waiting for my sis to appear, and more than an hour goes by, do not sigh and fidget. If you want to be on time for the movie, you should not be dating. My sis is putting on her makeup, a process which can take longer than painting the Golden Gate Bridge. Instead of just standing there, why don't you do something useful, like changing the oil in my car?

Rule Eight: The following places are not appropriate for a date with my sis: Places where there are beds, sofas, or anything softer than a wooden stool. Places lacking parents, policemen, or nuns. Places where there is darkness. Places where there is dancing, holding hands, or happiness. Places where the ambient temperature is warm enough to induce my sis to wear shorts, tank tops, midriff T-shirts, or anything other than overalls, a sweater, and a goose down parka zipped up to her chin. Movies with a strong romantic or sexual theme are to be avoided; movies which feature chainsaws are okay. Hockey games are okay.

Ooh, I really like yours too, Peach! I think those are so fun to do. I wouldn't mind getting a few more of Bubba and I ... they had one "scene" where the woman is the old-timey jailer and the husband in ball & chain, I wanted that one but Bubba wanted the western scene, so you can see who one our first, uhh, erm, "disagreement," LOL.

I got a program I could send ya via email.. Pretty easy to use and lets you do all sorts of fun stuff with your photo's.. Just let me know...

USP, I'm not sure it will help, http://www.freeconservatives.com/vb/images/icons/icon9.gif , perhaps it is my computer system. I have 4 different photo management programs on this computer, and I use all of them (Micrografx, PhotoShop, PrintMaster, and my Scanner Program). A lot of the pics, even the ones by others, are fuzzy on my screen (no I AM wearing my glasses, LOL). For instance, Charity's pic is very fuzzy on my screen too, but Peach's pic is nice crisp and clear ... go figure.

Doc, thanks for doing that, it does look better (from what I can see) but still looks blurry. I don't understand that, weird.

Oh well, I'm still looking for the other picture I mentioned of me and Bubba, I don't know where I put that thing!

Oh, and as a side note, I have taken apart my wedding album and have begun work on making a DVD Scrapbook. I've gotten most of the pictures scanned and placed in templates, but I'm not ready to burn it yet ... still tweaking it. I just LOVE my movie-making software! (It's Pinnacle, in case anyone is interested in more info ... still learning the ins and outs of it though).

Doc, thanks for doing that, it does look better (from what I can see) but still looks blurry. I don't understand that, weird.Blowing up an image, no matter how well it is done, still requires creating pixels where none exist. The inevitable result is softening of the image. Posting the original scan would allow the best results.

lot of the pics, even the ones by others, are fuzzy on my screen (no I AM wearing my glasses, LOL).If you got the puter in a package deal, it's safe to assume that the monitor is of barely tolerable quality. A better monitor would most likely sharpen everything up. Also, you might check out your color depth.

Right-click the desktop, select Properties, then Settings, and see what it says for Color quality. If it's 16-bit, switch to 32-bit and see if that helps.

Here's a great monitor. I just bought three of them, one for my second puter and one for each of my kids.

G90FB 19in CRT Monitor Black (http://www.provantage.com/viewsonic-crt-monitors-g90fb-3~7VIEG00M.htm)

The case is black. For about three bucks more you can get the standard light tan color.

G90F 19IN CRT Monitor (http://www.provantage.com/viewsonic-crt-monitors-g90f-3~7VIEG014.htm)

The image quality will amaze you.
