 Since six people have voted for him in the other poll, I'm curious to see just how divisive he really is.

well he's pro-gun control , pro-stem cell , pro-affirmitave action , pro-eminent domain , pro-gay marriage and pro-abortion (even supports partial abortion) .
i dont see anything in him that is a republican at all . he's a far social lefty !
*voted for when hell freezes over*

 I haven't voted yet, but I'm trying to decide whether I'd vote for him, if he gets the nomination. Given his leftwing views on so many issues, I'm inclined to pick the "Hell" option, & vote for a minor party, rather than see him win. I set the time limit for voting at thirty days, so there's still time for me to decide.

since i usually go overboard on complaining about Rinos , i'll think i'll back off on whining and leave "defeating liberalism" to doctor doom .

ConservYouthMove said what I was thinking.
But, I voted I will oppose him in the primaries, but will still vote for him, if he wins the nomination.
He is a Rino though, just like McCain. However, if McCain won the primaries I would vote against him(I hate that guy).

 I went ahead, & chose the third option, but I really prefer #4. It's just that I'm afraid the demonicrat nominee will be too much of a threat to risk voting for a third party candidate. If Giuliani gets the nomination, I'll be very unhappy, but I might have to hold my nose, while voting for him. I hope I won't have to make that choice.

Do you think he would run? He has a health issue.

I don't think he will. I don't think Condi will run either. They both have said they don't won't to.
I think Frist, Romney, and McCain will run(in the primaries), among others. And I sure as heck hope Romney wins it.

He's about as good as a Republican that you can get. The only thing hinders him is the fact that he is a Mormon(a devout one, I hear). So yes, he would be a good pro-lifer. He would beat Hillary too, cuz he's just that kind of person.

i'm catholic , but i think a mormon would do good just as well or better . mormons are extremely loyal to the GOP , Utah has a 71% vote in 2004 for bush and Provo canyon utah is the most conservative city in america . i think i will support him instead of frist, jeb, allen, etc .
i dont think a mormon like him would want to alienate other christians by doing something only mormons believe in like (marriage between 2 women and 1 man) because he would lose all support .

 Well, I don't pretend that my poll is sciëntific, but Giuliani seems to be taking a beating here. So far, 8 people have voted, & 7 either won't vote for him, or would vote for him while holding their noses. My point in starting this thread is to show Giuliani supporters that their candidate simply won't energize the Republican base. They always want to make the specious claim that he's the only one who can beat Swillary. I beg to differ.

theres now 2 votes for him , 8 opposing him so its 20% approval now . i kinda now dont think he is even gonna run because of health and his polarising stance with majority of the GOP and he was only a mayor , not a govenor or a senator .

Rudi is WAY too left for me, if he got the nod and ran, I would vote for him, because the Democrat contender would be just too scary if they were to win.
I doubt that he is going to run though, his health, and baggage just won't let it happen.

Rudy is too liberal for me. I don't think he has a chance of winning the Republican primaries in 2008. However, if by chance he wins the GOP nomination, I'll vote for him because he would be better than Hilary Clinton.

I am Mr Anti-Third Party, Mr Support the Party. There is absolutely no chance of me voting for Rudy. He is as liberal on social issues as Hillary Clinton. He did a great job following 9/11 but he is NOT a conservative. If he gets the Republican nomination I would be forced to join the folks I normally argue with and vote Libertarian or Constitution Party

i agree. guilianni will alienate the majortiy of GOP voters like us into voting against him or not voting . the GOP should never forget what happen to GHWB when he raised taxes and Perot stole alot of votes . again fox news keeps showing clips of Guilianni and Mccaine , fox news even has vote mccaine 2008 on the right of the main page sometimes .
