The grieving room was arranged like a doctor's office. The families and loved ones of 33 soldiers killed in Iraq or Afghanistan were summoned to a large waiting area at Fort Bragg, N.C. For three hours, they were rotated through five private rooms, where they met with President George W. Bush, accompanied by two Secret Service men and a photographer. Because the walls were thin, the families awaiting their turn could hear the crying inside...

Rush was speaking about the protestors at Crawford today. He said that their train is about to be derailed because it will be exposed that President Bush cares about his troops and their families. Very few Presidents during war time have shown the compassion that President Bush has shown. Remember when the bodies of our fallen soldiers from the USS Cole were returned to our shores in body bags? Where was clinton? He was at a fundraiser in Colorado. The same goes for all of the attacks on our troops during his tenure. Remember when the World Trade Center was attacked in 1993? Clinton didn't even make an appearance.

Somewhere out there is a couple of fruitloop operatives, trying to get the list of the families seen, hoping to produce another Cindy Sheehan phenom. I sincerely hope these brave families tell them to stow it where the sun don't shine.

Men aren't supposed to cry. They aren't supposed to show emotion at all. If men aren't supposed to cry, how come President Bush has been seen crying? He's not afraid to cry. I like that in a man.

The man has such class and compassion. He is not a showboat as many politicians are. A group of liberal e-chatters were posting horrible things about him a week ago, saying that he had not attended a funeral for a fallen soldier. (Of course after that, it was pointed out that he did this in private). Only a POLITICIAN would attend a funeral, uninvited, ready for the press to see. Our President talks privately with families of fallen soldiers, those who want to talk to him. What a great way to get in touch with them all.

Way to go, Mr. Bush.

Privately, Bush has met with about 900 family members of some 270 soldiers killed in Iraq or Afghanistan. The conversations are closed to the press,

That's a lot of families. How many people have died in this war? Well, 900 family members is hittin pretty close to all of them. Who here knew Bush did that? Not me.

Family members interviewed by NEWSWEEK say they have been taken aback by the president's emotionalism and his sincerity. . . It does not appear that the White House or the military makes any effort to screen out dissenters or embittered families, . . .
Most families encourage the president to stay the course in Iraq. "To oppose something my husband lost his life for would be a betrayal," says Inge Colton, whose husband, Shane, died in April 2004 when his Apache helicopter was shot down over Baghdad.

How many newpapers in this country are reporting this? Nada. It's so sad.

Teenager, that's why we call them biased liberal media. If they actually reported the truth about Bush his approval ratings would be through the roof and they know it. Most people don't pay attention to politics like we do. They live their lives in a vacuum thinking only of themselves. They get at most 30 minutes of news sound bytes from the liberal media and from that they form an uneducated uninformed opinion. It's sad really. How do I know? I used to be one of them until I started listening to Rush Limbaugh and got Fox news. What a rude awakening. I never knew what liberal biased reporting was until then. Thank God I was raised in a Republican household or I would have been in many American shoes today. Influenced by yellow journalism. My wish is that more Americans were like us...to take politics both domestic and foreign seriously. If they did there wouldn't be many Democrats in elected office today.
