I just thought I would let you guys know... I have a drug problem. I have started seeking help for it, and I am doing what I can, but I figured you people here would be the most supportive of it. I will explain a little further...
I was drug to church. I was drug to family reunions. I was drug to the bus stop to go to school. I was drug by the ears when I was disrespectful. I was also drug to their woodshed when I disobeyed my parents. Those drugs are still in my veins and they affect my behavior in everything I do, say, and think. They are stronger than cocaine, crack or heroin and if today's children had this kind of drug problem .... America might be a better place.

Yeah, I'm having a drug problem too -- I can't find any around here anymore! My town legalized drugs. Now, all the illegal drugs are gone and the crime rate has dropped by 90 percent.

Geo, I have the very same drug problem. The wife's family has drug me to every single family event it can, none of which are all that meaningful.

Lol Beowulf, I know how that feels ;).
Shortest sentence in the English language? I am. Longest sentence? I do.

I have that same problem, only it's my husband's family!
Although lately I have goten rid of this problem. I started being outspoken rather than sitting and just stewing while his family spews ignorance.

This might sound totally wrong or even mean, Princess, but I think our mates should put up with each other for awhile. It will be fun to see how they put up with each other's family.

Techno and Beo...pass me an oar LOL we're all in the same boat!
Techno and Beo...pass me an oar LOL we're all in the same boat! Not me. Having a husband older than you has it's advantages when it comes to in-laws. er, I mean bless their pea pickin' little hearts.:smirky:
I have a great blessing with the ex-inlaws (we still get along and get together, most of us, for the children and all)! The liberal types are 1500 miles away and the conservative types are the ones who live close but don't have the ability to visit often! So in other words, I get to visit the inlaws I choose to, when I choose to! hehe.

Hmmm....they might never insist on dragging us to functions again...which would be very good!
