NRA Might Back Democrat Instead of DeWine The National Rifle Association is so miffed over Republican Sen. Mike DeWine’s vote on gun liability that the organization may even back a Democrat in next year’s election.

DeWine angered the NRA in July when the Ohio lawmaker was one of only two Republicans to oppose a bill shielding gun makers from liability for damages resulting from the use of their firearms, according to the publication The Hill.

It's a shame when the NRA has to select between a RINO and a Lib. It's a no-win situation.

Don't know. But, I have said in the past, I would vote for a Zell Miller if he ran for POTUS.

Good. The NRA has never been an extension of the Republican party. And Dewine must go. See my signature line below.

DeWine is my congressman, and he's a real piece of work: a jackass. Still, unless the Democratic alternative is more conservative than he, I'll stick with him. It wouldn’t make much sense to throw DeWine overboard -- though his support for gun owner’s rights be lukewarm -- in favor of a Democrat who is rabidly anti-gun.
