My cousin Nicole and her boyfriend Patrick really need prayer.
Patrick is currently living in a very abusive environment with his adpotive parents. As a last resort he left the home to go with my cousin and almost a day later the cops came to pick him up and bring him back to his houshold where it is almost definate that he will be beaten.
My cousin is in a severe amount of distress and needs comforting. So I am asking on their behalf that you will pray for them in their time of need.

Thank You So Much,
The Prez
aka
Leette

Abused by his adoptive parents, eh?!:flame: That pisses me off! If that's how they want to treat kids, why adopt them?:flame:

Anyway, prayers for Patrick. I hope he can find a way out.

Thank you guys so much. My cousin had to come over to my house cuz her parents were yelling at her. She cried herself to sleep last night. Hmmm, I guess that answers my question if your cousin has parents that might give Patrick a safe haven to stay. Child Services should be notified of the abuse. How awful. Prayers for all, PL.

PS You're a good cousin and friend.

Prez, how old are these kids? Has he let anyone else (especially the police) know he is being abused? Is there physical evidence? Is it possible for Patrick to be emancipated yet? Will your parents get involved?
I will keep Patrick's and your cousin's families in my prayers.

They are both 17. I am not sure if he said so to the police; however last night when they showed up at my cousin's home she made them aware that he was being mistreated. Yes he currently has bruising and swelling by rib area, because his step mother (who is the one abusing him) hit him there. Yes, however the process would take far too long and he would probably be 18 before he could get emancipated. I seriously doubt anyone from my family will get involved.

Thank you so much for praying for them. It is very much needed.

Then the kid needs to go to a shelter and get a restraining order against the abusers.

Since nobody seems to want to do anything, that possibly could be the kid's way out.

ask around for legal help.

Prayers to ya and your family probs, sorry to hear.

I'm the cousin Thank you for all of your prayers, I have been praying for my boyfriend as well. He has been unhappy for too long, he has been hurt physically and emotionally since he was young. His step parents have never liked our relationship it's been almost four years. I will remain to pray for him and his safety. I haven't talked to him since last night when everything went down. I cant begin to thank everyone for their prayers, a special thanks to my cousin Leette, she has always been there for us. I will never give up on the power of pray, my faith, my boyfriend, my family, and the love we have for each other. I hope that everything works out for him, as well as our relationship and his happiness. Life is full of challenges, challenges we have to overcome. Thank you and God bless you all. -Nikki

Thank you for sharing Nikki, keep us updated and you are still in our thoughts and prayers. Such an unhappy situation but you seem to have strength and God with you, hold on to that ...

Prayer has been sent. Child Protective Services needs to be contacted, and someone keep track of the case number they assign. Get photgraphic evidence of any marks, and contact a lawyer through Legal Services. All abusive people desperately need a visit by someone who will not tolerate the abuse of their wards. Good luck.

Thank You so much guys. Nikki just left to go home. She'll be fine. We got a message from Patrick last night- he says "Its not as bad as we think." but then again abused kids often say things like that.
